Greetings from Philadelphia - let's make a deal!

Dear Rangers fans,

Greetings from Philadelphia - let's see if we can partner up to make this happen for both teams. Ian Kinsler and Shane Victorino deserve to play in the 2009 All-Star Game.

Phillies fans vote for Kinsler - I know of several Philadelphia boards that will jump on this deal

Ranger fans vote for Victorino

then we all hope and pray that the Phillies and Rangers meet in the World Series.

Deal?

Sincerely,

findacure

Cheese steaks?

I agree

I can be bought with cheese steaks. Of course I can also be bought with craft beer from northern California. Whoever makes the better offer gets the votes.

Here you go

Well, Victorino is only 13th among NL OF's in wOBA

And has been minus 14 runs in UZR/150 in the OF this year. As a result, his 1.4 WAR is tied for 19th among NL OF’s.

I would probably disagree that he actually deserves to be in the ASG… but since I’d like to see the NL lose, as usual, what the hell.

Deal.

Get on base or die, Salty.

heh nice

Scout: He was a first-round pick right? Got a huge bonus?
KG: Oh yeah.
Scout: Well, he spent a lot of it on milkshakes.

Hey, Ranger fans

Were all doing our part over at McCovey chronicles. We have voted for Kinsler hundreds of times. Sandoval definetly deserves it over Victorino as im sure you have all realized. Keep your end of the deal

Also, we will send you beer

Beer?

Sold. Sandoval’s got my vote.

I promise any LBS blogger who votes for Sandoval, if we win, a beer of their choice at a Giants game, should you come through these parts.

Supporting San Francisco Dugout since 2005 and Manny Burriss since 2006, and bringing you all your California League needs since 2009.

i went with sandoval

Hall of Fame pitcher Nolan Ryan was on the same pitching staff with Danny Darwin during the 1986 through 1988 seasons. Both were described by Milo Hamilton as "tall, tough Texans." It was a source of debate amongst Astros players and fans over who would win in a fight, Ryan or Darwin. Though Astros pitcher Bob Knepper attempted to set up a fight between the two during spring training in 1988, manager Hal Lanier stopped it before it could commence. Many experts, including Astros shortstop Rafael Ramirez, felt that Darwin would win because he "looked like someone no man would want to mess with."

Yeah, I'm really voting for Sandoval too.

I was kind of being faceticous above. Sandoval definitely deserves it over Victorino.

Get on base or die, Salty.
