"The House That Ruth Built, 85 years old, goes out as The House That Hamilton Knocked Down"
Don't have a good answer
And there may not have been anything else they could have done, given their plan. I’m just not sure what their plan is.
They seem to be frantically adding pieces to try to be a 50 win team that is vying for the 4th seed, but will probably be more like a 6 or 7 seed.
Their window of opportunity has closed. I have to wonder if they wouldn’t be better off stripping down and rebuilding, because the chances of them winning a title, or even making the NBA Finals, in the next few years seems to be nil.

I don't think it's closed, but it's definitely closing
and the only thing holding it open is Dirk.
BUT
Kidd brings you a solid player that knows how to play the game the way that Carlisle wants them to play it.
As far as what they are trying to do, I think they are holding onto being that 50 win team in hopes that they either, A. hit on an unknown Euro player or B. can package a trade similar in impact to the Pau Gasol trade.
But regardless, the Kidd signing is a good one.
Hmm
I think the window for a long-term good team has closed, but the chance to win with a one year wonder isn’t gone.
I do think, however, that Howard needs to go. If you add a Hamilton, an Anthony Parker, and find a way to bolster the bench just a little bit, I wouldn’t count out a championship-caliber team.

OT question
do any of you think ESPN is pissed we didn’t do what we could to get Hamilton up here for the national telecast?
They've probably talked about as much as they would have otherwise

I don't know why any team would change their players rehab to help a fucking TV network.

umm
don’t you think they are taking too long with this AAA stint anyways?

No.
If they want him to save this offense, he needs to be ready to save it when he gets back here.

I disagree in a way
He thinks he’s healthy, so he is not going to take the rest of these games like he would a big league game

I'm just glad KKKKKKKris Davis K'd.
It makes the game seem so much more real.

that kind of goes along the lines of

Well, lets say it could be whatever you wanted it to be, for arguments sake.

If we're talking long-term, happy-life relationship, I'll probably take dream girl.
Any less and I’ll take the Rangers. Easily. And they’re probably only the fourth most important sports team to me.
Only the fourth most important, eh?
I’d probably agree with that, although my Rangers obsession has become a major part of my life over the last couple years.

The Rangers are pretty damn important to me.
And they certainly dictate my emotions for much of the spring and, depending on how that goes, the summer.
But I worship at the altar of the Cowboys and Cougars football and basketball ahead of them.
At the moment
I think I’d take the Rangers World Series over a night with CD. But, if you throw in his roommate, I might have a tougher time making that decision.

good CJ tonight
Elvis Andrus - 2009 AL Rookie of the Year
Mitch Moreland - 2009 Rangers Minor League POY
That was the perfect moment for that guy to do the popcorn trick...
and yet he blew his wad twice tonight and then didn’t have any popcorn that time. He sucks.

the preceding post was a great success.

I guess hank 1b and hammy dh is a probable option for a bit.

i would really appreciate it if Wash DH's hammy for a bit
