2009 Texas Rangers: Why The Hell Not Us?--ghtd36 on May 13, 2009

Some decent stuff although I haven't read Insider for a while (or ESPN for that matter)

One time there was a link to a Buster Olney article and I was able to read all of it. From there I was able to use that link to all of the Insider stuff. Loophole got closed a couple years ago. I liked Gammons and Olney. Can’t say it’s worth it since I refuse to pay.

Remember Red, hope is a good thing. Maybe the best of things. And no good thing ever dies.

You can't pick and choose

when to follow copyright law.

he doesn’t care about integrity of paying for content — but he’ll fight the good fight against steroid users.

Is it theft to sneak into your friends room and take his CDs?

I think not!!!!

the dead law

if your dead and the people living off your greatness are just trust fund babies sucking money from your dead glory.

fuck’m

i will respect the rights of the artist, but if that guys dead, its piratable b/c franky i dont care about Jim Morrison’s Dads rights to his sons work. Or who owns the right to leadbelly’s estate, or to throw money of Elvis’s screwed up family, it aint helping leadbelly, and Morrison’s dad held his rights forever and the guy and his son werent even on speaking terms, and im supposed to respect those copyrights?

thats just silly

mormons stole me and held me against my will with Oklahoma beer and 12+ hour work days.

interesting concept -

sometimes a rule is worth following in principle even when there isn’t necessarily a compelling reason to follow each particular instance of it.

would be pointless

adam would have to delete it.
and i dont think many of us here want LSB to get the reputation as a place where copyrights are disregarded. it just makes us look immature (or more so than we already look).

Just post the GDT already

CliffNotes:

He expected Elvis to be a .250-.260 hitter with 30 steals. He’s currently .267 and 16 for 17 on steals. From interviewing Elvis (quotes in the article), it seems like the Rangers are giving him the green light more, so expect more steals in the second half. Also, his hitting slumped in June, so don’t expect him to post his .300 avg from May (though he does like his approach).

There’s stuff in there about the Angels (Lackey, Kendrick, and Figgins), mainly from a fantasy perspective, but if you’re that interested, go do the right thing.
