Byrd to be interviewed by MLB investigators
Byrd to discuss supplements with MLB
didn't see this anywhere so here it is. click the above link for more information
Rangers outfielder Marlon Byrd is scheduled to have a phone interview with Major League investigators on Thursday about his use of nutritional supplements given to him by BALCO founder Victor Conte, Yahoo Sports reported.
Byrd has openly talked about use of supplements given to him by Conte, who several years ago provided illegal performance-enhancing drugs used by players such as Jason Giambi, Barry Bonds and Gary Sheffield.

suspicion by association.
They got nothing on him but he sure looks a litlle bigger than when he first came up to the majors.

this shouldnt be a problem unless
he’s actually juicing. which would just be weird and i would hope he couldnt have gotten away with it for 2.5 years with the testing program in place.
it kind of sucks though cus just this affiliation alone might affect his reputation for a long time. he seems to not care though, as long he knows he’s clean (which i hope he is).

yawn
I’m assuming he’s been tested and passed so I can’t care about this.

i'm not saying it's huge news
or that he’s guilty by association (like many on here implied when i posted the similar story a few weeks ago).
just posting it because it’s news involving a ranger and there is a perception problem here. byrd should probably stay away from this guy, as long as he stands by him and uses his products there will be suspicion. this won’t go way soon. supposedly the interview is in about 5 minutes

Byrd already said
all supplements he takes from the guy are first approved through the MLB program. If that is the case, he doesn’t have to stay away from anybody.

you are right
but he’ll just have to deal with suspicion. and his teammates will as well. not saying it’s right, just sayin that’s how it is.

If that's the case
why does he have to speak with MLB investigators?

The only way...
to get Wash to take Byrd out of the lineup would be if he was suspended for 50 games.
