Good read, even if it's something most of us probably know.

Good stuff.
But the big question is, what the hell was Scooter doing in Fort Worth?
Just two seasons ago, Feldman was a frequent rider of the Oklahoma City – Fort Worth shuttle.

That was actually my nickname in high school.
Something to do with my almost preternatural ability to try too hard to please the ladies and then run away crying and hide in my treehouse when I failed.
High school sucked, man.

Id like to see Derek Holland add a Cutter to his arsenal this winter.

I have always had an unreasonable and bizarre crush on cut fastballs.
I think it started in Ken Griffey Jr’s Slugfest on the N64, which was the first in the series to have cutters and I thought the movement was neat. And I loved Greg Maddux and that was his specialty pitch in the game. Plus it sounded cool and was awesome and destroying worlds.
Since then it’s always been the only pitch I’m actually fascinated by. Any time we have someone with a cutter, it makes me very feliz.

Cutter
Ive always wondered why more guys don’t pick it up, it seems to be effective.
From what Ive read and heard it doesnt look like its any more stressful to throw than a 2 or 4 seamer, but im no expert

I am just guessing but I seem to remember that Feldman’s cut fastball was almost identical in speed to his regular fastball (both around 91 or 92). Since one tails in and one tails out and they are both the same speed and probably look about the same out of the hand, it has to be a real challenge to get good bat on the pitch.

One would think
But apparently he’s just lucky… ;-)
