It isn't as cool a job as you might think...
Imagine 50 pissy, drug-addled bitches fighting over who “owns” a particular song to dance to.

ESPN Austin carries Rangers games. Not sure if they’re going to carry this one because it’s in the middle of their day-time schedule
as a highschool kid during summer break
I love cleveland and there ridiculously early games.

Oh to be in the land of Cleve right now
no better town for a sports fan imo. I’d be taking a stroll from the Marriott downtown to the RRHOF, smokin a J on the way, maybe cab it to Christie’s or the Crazy Horse for lunch, and then to the Jake for some Ranger baseball and copious amounts of Great Lakes brew. Burning River Pale Ale, by the way, is one of the greatest beer names ever.

I propose a 5-year moratorium on trading any young Ranger pitchers who throw over 90 mph.

My OBP was decent, my BA not so much.
I was fast back in college, so I could beat out a lot of grounders. I also managed to get the guy on in front of me out a lot. . .
For me, hits in to the outfield were rare, XBHs almost unheard of. I learned pretty quickly, though, that I was better if I checked where the catcher was positioned. And then I learned if I did that, sometimes the’d hit me. Getting hit hurts, but boy is it an easy way to get on base.

it's not a bad city...
I just wouldn’t spend a winter there. Detroit is much worse.
The I.Q. test has been abolished.
It is now the Gardner Scale.
Worst winter I ever lived through was in Amarillo Tx
Snow I can deal with, but when there is 4 inches of ice on the ground for 2 straight months Ridiculous
I was riding with my family through Amarillo in November when I was about 8 or 9.
Just past the Big Texan we slid off the road in to a snow drift. Did a full 360. Most terrifying moment of my life.
Any time I mention that winter, there is someone who had a "worst experience" story
The town is a winterized black hole of trauma
Those are usually the summer stories:
Goes something like: “I spent the hottest day of my life on the summer vacation of (fill in the year) eating lunch at the Big Texan and looking at the Cadillacs stuck in the ground on our way to New Mexico…”

Blackwell dedicates every game he plays to his late grandfather Owen C. Smith. Smith passed away on Blackwell’s 10th birthday. He has the date (11-15-00) written in the bill of his camp.

"The House That Ruth Built, 85 years old, goes out as The House That Hamilton Knocked Down"
Was it last Friday when Wash
decided to let Feldman go 120 pitches v LAA?
He’s at close to 70 fairly high pressure pitches thru three innings and may need to be fitted for a short, tight leash going forward.
We have a very rested bully and need to take advantage of it.

Get him through 5
Then let Feliz et al. take over.

He's gonna try to get him to finish the 5th so he gets eligiable for the win
but then he’ll yank him. Only concern is if he keeps him in too long in the 5th
F that, Ace JC
If he begins to wobble, I pull him.

I'm all for that. I'm just predicting what The Gut will do.
He hasn’t really struggled, CLe has just been working his ass off. I think he may have 5 in him, but he needs to get a groove these next two innings.
Can some provide a little summary of the plays as they happen??????????????????

In "The Book" it shows that a sac bunt is really a poor play unless you have a really weak hitter
like a pitcher or Blalock. Didn’t work out for Cle there.
I dont think its shows it as a really poor play, it generally decreases your Runs Per Inning likelihood
but you are still more likely to score 1 run in that inning than before. I think its pretty narrow minded to just right off the Sac Bunt as a poor play because the Runs Per Inning over a general/broad veiw of things goes down, there is way more to take into account than that
"The House That Ruth Built, 85 years old, goes out as The House That Hamilton Knocked Down"
Wonder if that pitcher would be somebody like Pavlik
or somebody else who had Cleveland ties like Gaylord?
Not sure Gaylord ever had a really big year in Texas so maybe it’s Bibby.

What a treat!
Now I must get beer.
Again I havn't been around but has this arroyo comment made the rounds?

And yet I know I’m behind because of the whole 2-1 thing. . .
Weird. I’ll catch up after I see Elvis go yard.

Okay, I'm not behind.
Unless Game Day is also behind and right along with my feed. But the Cleveland announcers just said “two nothing Rangers” going in to the break, and the little number there looks like a 2.
WTF, Cleveland.
Who the F
was bitching about Feldman’s K rates?
