Nice 5 IP by Feldman, considering

Can't complain about the results from Scott
Threw too many pitches, but 5 innings of one run ball is good for me. Bring on the Neftali!
Well put from ESPN.com's Rumblings:
Blockquoted paragraph
Padilla
• Beware the Padilla: Meanwhile, it’s funny how you’re not hearing the same glowing reviews on Vicente Padilla, another talented arm who is almost certain to become a free agent once the Rangers determine once and for all that they can’t deal him. But for a guy whose stuff is still good, it’s astounding how terrified teams seem to be by the rest of Padilla’s loose-cannon act.
“Here’s a team [Texas] that needs pitching, and they let a guy like that go?” said one NL executive. “What’s that tell you?”
“They’re tied in the wild card, and nobody has enough pitching, and they owe the guy money, and they still didn’t want him around?” wondered another NL exec. “It just makes you wonder: How bad was it?”
He'll never get another guaranteed deal.
He’s toxic now.

Now?
He was about as Toxic when we signed him. None of the things Padilla is doing are new, and there are reasons Phillie and Arizona was happy to dump him despite his arm. I was surprised we signed him long term. He is one of those guys who should always be on a one year contract.

I'd give him a break if he was doing AA games
not a big league team when the greatness of Nadel is sitting right next to him
I do too
and it’s not that Victor was so amazing, it’s just that he was competent and compared to Barnett, he was the Michael Jordan of radio broadcasting
I argue that Nadel and Victor had built a good rapport

they were great together and I don’t mean to slight Rojas, but Barnett makes his legacy that much better.
Barnett has shown improvement.
He’s not all there yet, but he’s a whole lot better than what he was. Give him at least ’til next season and if home-run calls are still floundering, then yes, give him the axe

I love the contact - i wish the team would pick that up and Josh would start hitting the ball out of the park again.
I'll take the hits for now. The power will come along.
If he keeps hitting at this clip, I could care less if he hits another one out of the park.
well it would be better to keep feliz to one inning

He’s ministering in the stands.

Josh expressing the most overrated idea in baseball
that somehow a catcher “handles” a pitching staff. Notice the Munson quote he used—Munson became good at handling the Yankees’ staff when they got good pitchers in the mid-1970s.

no team in baseball
picked up a better reliever at the deadline than we did with Feliz. And no team picked up a better starter than what Holland can do when he’s on (assuming Peavy stays injured).
What is this, Horseville? Because I'm surrounded by naysayers.
bats is stiffer competition
because of Holliday and VMart, but when Josh is locked in, as it appears he is now, then that would definitely qualify. Kinsler just worries me, because he is so streaky. He has to make sure he’s not swinging from his heals too much.
