Ian Kinsler activated, Nelson Cruz to the disabled list
The Rangers have activated Ian Kinsler, and made room for him on the 25 man roster by putting Nelson Cruz on the disabled list.
Disappointing news on Cruz, who it was once thought was going to be ready to play in the Cleveland series just past.

and Ian's apparently not playing tonight too
ugh. At least Ian can generally hit LHP pretty decently.

Excellent
we haven’t seen nearly enough crappy fly outs recently.

do you really have
to keep rehashing the same fucking post everytime kinsler has been mentioned the past 2 days?

I don't see why more folks here don't share Cahill's opinion
Kinsler is a terrible hitter at this point in time. I’d rather keep running Vizquel and German out there until Kinsler gets his shit straight.
when ive seen him say it
37 times in a 36 hour period it gets a little fucking annoying
it’s just like hearing about hank f. everytime he takes a shit or ties his shoe

I was really hoping (as unlikely as it may have been)
to see more Cruz and less Byrd/Hank. Too bad.
When's the earliest he can be activated now?
He’s been out almost 10 days now, correct?
(Wife) "So what do you want to watch on the T.V.? UFC or porn?"
(Husband) "Hmm... well, porn, I guess."
I think 10 days is correct
so 5 more days
I didn't know what a mancrush was. Derek Holland showed me.

Shorthand for "First Quarter of 2008"
So, he can be activated anytime.

nitpicking
Actually it is being dated Aug 4. He played on the 3rd. So I think he can play on the 19th ankle willing.

What is the overall feeling about when Davis comes back?
Are they just waiting for rosters to expand? As much as I’d like to continue to see how long Blalock can carry his NO BB streak, I wouldn’t mind seeing Davis back fairly soon.
I thought it be all warm and shitty, but it just tasted like normal beer. It was still cold.
If we wait until expansion
wouldn’t he be ineligible for the playoffs?
Purgatory's kind of like the in-betweeny one. You weren't really shit, but you weren't all that great either. Like Tottenham.
I don't think so
I think that has to do with the 40 man roster not the 25 man
Bryan Smith (12:17:17 PM PT): Justin Smoak and Josh Hamilton. The AL West might just have found their Bash Brothers, v. 2.0.
I'm going to disagree
I’m pretty sure a player has to be on the active roster. Now, I think there are complicated exceptions for the DL…

yea, only way you can be on roster for the playoffs is if your on 25 man pre september or if someone
hits the DL on the 25 and you replace him.

I thought Price was a September callup last year
And he was on the playoff roster

i dont think he was, im pretty sure i remember him making a start in August
even if he was he could have been a replacement for a guy going to the DL.
Someone else was talking about this and it was mentioned that they year K-Rod came up he was a Sept. call up and then replaced someone going on the DL to get onto the playoff roster

He must have replaced someone on the DL
Cause his gamelogs say his first appearance last year wasn’t until September 14th

Looks like that's when it'll be
They don’t want to mess with clubhouse chemistry probably by DFAing a veteran and long-time Ranger even though he’s not doing much to help the team.
By 2028, Mark Teixeira will be in the HOF.

They don't have to DFA Blalock
just put him back into a DH platoon with Jones. The guy has had plenty of ABs to show something and for the most part he has pretty much sucked balls.
I thought it be all warm and shitty, but it just tasted like normal beer. It was still cold.
Let's hope this DL stint was exactly...
what Kinsler needed to come back and actually be productive again.
"BIg whoop, wanna fight about it?"
To any minor league (all teams) gurus out there...
Can anyone tell me where they expect the indians to end up in the rankings this year? Discussion on another board.
the preceding post was a great success.
I love how the winds can change so quickly with baseball fans.
Nelson Cruz is a AAAA player, nothing more (not including Ed Coffin in this). Now he’s irreplacable on the MLB roster. Kinsler was the second coming but now he simply sucks with his uppercut swing and popouts.
Settle down people. Nelson is good and so is Ian.
Remember Red, hope is a good thing. Maybe the best of things. And no good thing ever dies.
I wanted Cruz to get another chance from the start of last year and like Ian now.
What do I win.
