DFA Eddie PLEASE, Kinsler at 2B
With Eddie giving up yet another crucial HR last night, he has nothing left in the tank to fool batters or overpower them.
When Eddie came in last night, I knew something bad was about to happen. The last time he pitched he gave up a bad HR in his last outing against the Angels and Friday night was no different.
I thought that Kinsler would be back at 2ndlast night and we sure could have used him. There were a couple of plays that Omar Visquel couldn't quite make that I believe if Kinsler was out there, he would have made, which could have made the difference in the game last night. {couple of hits (top 9), one being an infield hit, around 2nd base and the other finding a hole to get to CF}

Fanky Francisco
one other thing, doe Franky not have a changeup or an out pitch to fool hitters? Lester had a huge night getting out of jams with a changeup the Rangers hitters were fooled on and swang early at. Can’t Franky fool any hitters for strikouts other then the fastball?
i agree, franky has been terrible this year.
with the stuff he’s throwing it’s a miracle they even let him in the big leagues. he needs to be more like mike mussina, 5 different pitches minimum. plus a knuckleball if he can get learn that.

umm..
didn’t have a full blown article in mind, just wanted to see what Ranger fans were thinking about Eddie and throw out a few more thoughts, if it should have been a fan shot, so be it, but the post wasn’t intended as a full blown news feed. call if more of a spark for conversation from someone who was at the game and had to watch the 9th in person and Eddie do his usual.

We aren't going to DFA Eddie
We may place him on the DL to bring someone else up but I doubt this late in the season we get rid of the guy
Bryan Smith (12:17:17 PM PT): Justin Smoak and Josh Hamilton. The AL West might just have found their Bash Brothers, v. 2.0.
actually
he won’t be fine and he is just struggling. It is a game of inches for Eddie. If he is off you get what happened last night.

Sorry Eddie had to pull the DFA switch..
you had your day sir, but at the moment you’re nothing but a clunker.
The I.Q. test has been abolished.
It is now the Gardner Scale.
Won't just DFA him
but if we can work out some waiver wire deal I’d be trying to upgrade him.
or really, he wouldn’t even be so bad if wash would just realize that decent era or not hes not pitching well and shouldn’t have ever gotten into such a close and important game.
the preceding post was a great success.
dont disrespect omar at 2nd
you say kinsler could have made a few plays, but omar almost certainly wouldn’t have made an error. omar’s defense is amazing. you should find another bone to pick with the rangers
baseBALLIN!
omar/kinsler
i was just saying that ian has better range then omar at 2nd and might have saved an out in the 9th which would have been the difference in the game

It might be A.J. Murray time
as much as I hate Eddie, I’m scared to just cut bait. He’s a lefty that has had some streaks of success this year. I might consider calling up A.J. and only using Eddie in mop-up duty, until we know whether or not A.J. can hold his own. Of course, he’d have to be added to the 40, and that gets problematic.
That's why they call them business sox
DFA Guardado
A guy that tops out at 86 mph is not suitable to come in, and he keeps falling behind in the count. He is a good guy, but his baseball days should be over, set him free and give AJ Murray or someone along those lines a shot.
A baseball game is simply a nervous breakdown divided into nine innings.
Pirate
he got bombed a couple times in the past month, but even still, his line is pretty solid on the year, especially against lefties. It’s probably worth a look, at this point.

And the little bastard threw it for a swinging strike three in a 3-2 count. He’s blessed. And ballsy.

awesome!!!!
but back on topic i’m afraid i’m with the dfa eddie mob. he’s horrible.. i know he’s the leader out in the pen and the guys love him but the dude’s just not getting it done. whether they can aquire a catcher and a lefty on the waiver trade market is hopeless i think. but i’m afraid without a move that brings in talent from outside this organization that shows the team they’re behind them this club is done. hindsight is 20/20 but a bench bat or a reliever upgrade would have shown support for a team that has played above it’s head all year. thank u tom hicks for being a fucktard teasip.
I like AJM's idea....
of putting him on the DL ’til after the rosters expand then he can be activated.
That way the clubhouse can keep one of their “leaders”.
