PrintIn a move to get some fresh arms for the pen, Guillermo Moscoso has been recalled, and Esteban German is going on the disabled list.
German was going to be bumped when Nelson Cruz came off the d.l. later this week anyway, so this move lets the Rangers get a fresh arm for the pen for a couple of days, and lets them bring German back in September when the rosters expand a couple of days earlier.

Its actually pretty easy when you're hitting .200

When Cruz is ready they need to promote Guardado to the coaching staff by DLing him. Glad they’re keeping Borbon up and glad they’re keeping German around for September.

Still feel like they plan to keep Guardado around to pitch in game batting practice in the playoffs.

Also, he did state this morning that they were in need of pitching depth, and may have to make some moves. This is also why Cruz will stay on the DL a few days longer than needed.

A healthy Cruz should be a huge boost to the lineup

Putting him on the DL will give them more flexibility at the end of the month in setting up a potential playoff roster.
