And what creative names they come up with too.

Trade proposal:

I'd rather have Josey.

At least he’s predictable enough to ignore.

You know, I didn't even read them for this post

I knew that they would be brutal and just didn’t feel like getting annoyed.

Then why do you post there

and why do all of you whiners read the comments?

I read this earlier this morning...

…it always makes me happy to hear how the prospects we’ve heard about for the past few years are ready to contribute in the majors. I just am trying to stay level-headed about the whole thing since most of these guys won’t reach their ceilings and there are bound to be disappointments.

That’s why I hope we’re never too afraid to make a deal like Arizona made with Oakland for Dan Haren. Or, an even better scenario: we have enough talent on the major league team that we can be like Boston and not feel the pressure to get all of the great prospects playing on the big league team as quick as possible (and potentially trade them for more veteran players).

Great article

Couldn’t have put it better myself. We need to make sure we fill our internal gaps first, then trade the excess. There will be plenty of guys to move a year or two down the road.

lulz
Blah Blah Blah…future future future. I am sick of hearing about building for the future! Guess what the future is now!this was the best cheance since the 90’s to get into the post season and Daniels gave it up! OUr ptchers are average and in most cases below average! When Millwood is your top pitcher you know your in trouble! At the end of the season everyone will see once again why not having a real ace will end our chances at the playoffs! It is getting real old by the way!

Josey changed his name to "Meredith."
Is it any coincidence that Nolan Ryan’s arrival as team president seems to have happened at that same time this team suddenly got a positive plan for the future? I think not. I think this is a direct reflection of Ryan’s influence on the organization. Some things began to happen prior to his being named team president, but wasn’t he a consultant when those things were going on? My point is that Ryan is the architect—he’s telling Daniels what the team needs, he’s injected stability into the organization by preaching patience with and confidence in Ron Washington, and he’s a calm, steady hand at the tiller. We don’t hear jack from Tom Hicks anymore, and I believe that is because Ryan told him to back off and leave baseball operations to the baseball people.

Would that a Nolan Ryan-like figure existed with the Cowboys (sigh)…

Ryan told Daniels they needed Andrus and Feliz and Murphy et. al. before he even had a job!

LOOK! He even has Hicks’s leash!!!

Just so we all know, this is what Adam Morris, LSB head nerd, and our own Brett Perryman think of us DMN posters:

“The DMN commenters. What a beating.”
