He made his MLB debut on August 3, 2009 in Oakland, Calif. against the Athletics, pitching two perfect innings. He struck out the first four batters he faced, becoming the first Texas Rangers pitcher ever to do so (and the first in MLB since 1972). His fastball reached 101 miles per hour while his changeup was at 90-91 and his slider was at 81-83.

Why bring in Guardado against a LHB when they are hitting .364 against him this year. But whatever, they are winning, and whatever he’s doing, they aren’t giving up games.
