PrintHappy birthday to Dave Rozema, who turns 53 today.
Rozema pitched the majority of his career for the Tigers as a pretty solid swingman, but prior to the 1985 season, he was signed by the Rangers as part of their big free agent class that included Burt Hooten and Cliff Johnson. Rozema pitched okay in 1985 for Texas, was awful in limited innings in 1986, and then never pitched in the majors again, out of the big leagues by age 30.
