OT: think there was cheating?

way off topic fantasy football. don't read if you really really don't care about that stuff.
anyway. i notice that i drafted deangelo williams 4th. he wasn't in my top 4 pre rankings so I look at draft results. Adrian Peterson slipped to the 10th pick. the Commish picked 10th. um yeah. also on my team, i had no kickers, no back up quarterback. no line backer, and 4 backup tightends. i look at other teams and NOBODY ELSE drafted a line backer. the commish also has drew brees, ben rothlesberger and eli manning. the pitt, bal AND tennessee defenses to boot.
WTF? so i figure i will wait until week 2 and see if anybody else is trying to actually play in this league. I will try and trade my top players for his scrubs...if the commish lets us.

well i'm gonna bail on the league after week 1
gonna try my hardest to trade my top players to the 2nd best team if the commish won’t void it. and if the other team agrees.

i was in a fantasy baseball league last year
and the commish drafted all pitchers at the top, then changed the scoring for a pitching out to equal 1 point…the same as a single.
1.1 innings pitched = a home run

Yeah
There’s definitely something fishy going on there. Every draft I’ve been in this year (and 2 were autopick) Peterson was the #1 pick.
It’s really sad that people feel the need to cheat at fantasy sports, but it happens.

Yeah...
…the lowest I’ve seen Peterson go is No. 2, and that was because this guy really thought Maurice Jones-Drew was going to explode this season.
I’d drop that league quickly. No use in trying to reason with douchers.

happened to me in baseball
joined a random league. commish said that his internet went out half way through the draft, he dropped everyone from everyone else’s team and locked them from doing anything. you’re fucked, and yahoo couldn’t give a shit about it as well…
basically idiots do this ‘cause they suck at it and try to get their ’stats’ better

Yeah,
I was in a league with people I worked with two years ago where the commish set rules so that rb’s have even a bigger advantage point wise. Then right before we were going to have a draft changed the order of the draft so he was first so he could get LT.
Well, he didn’t end up winning that year and it ended up being fun anyways ’cause the league knew he cheated and just bagged on him the whole year.

Why would you EVER join an anonymous league where there's a commish?
I thought anonymous leagues were all about Yahoo just doing everything for 12 strangers. Why give power to 1 owner over the 11 others?

i usually join a public league or two as a way to mock draft before my main leagues, but it’s always the kind that is managed by espn or yahoo so there is no way for one person to manipulate the rules for their own advantage.
I don’t know why you’d even want to continue to participate in this league. Even if you could acquire better players through some uneven trade, what’s the point? Would you really get the same satisfaction in competing that you would from a fair league? Give up like everyone else probably will, and let this guy enjoy his pyrrhic “victory”
