X-Rated film to win an oscar.
"I don't condone steroids or any other type of growth hormones or anything else, but I could care less, and, for the most part, I don't think the fans give a (bleep). The people that care about it are the people that probably don't like baseball," - Jim Leyland
Orgazmo just couldn't compete.
(Wife) "So what do you want to watch on the T.V.? UFC or porn?"
(Husband) "Hmm... well, porn, I guess."
of course, X-rated then and X-rated now
are very different things… It was closer to an R now.
Grieve: The Yanks have struggled so far. - Lewin: Yeah, cry me a bag of money.
Dykstra has all the money!

yep
midnight cowboys would rate as an R movie now. and not a hard border line nc-17 R.

5th inning against the Tigers
didn't they change the rating
after the Oscars… Most people agreed that it shouldn’t have been rated X… just that they couldn’t deal with homosexuality.

Not exactly a feelgood
movie nor is it a love letter to 1960’s NYC. Much different than Woody Allen’s take on Manhattan 10 years later.
I haven’t seen it in a while but it’s one of those movies where the acting, editing, director and soundtrack were all topshelf but the story was kinda meh (maybe because it was so dark). Still, one of those movies you need to see.
To this day, I love Nilsson’s song.
"Dying ain't hard. It's living that's hard."
"Ranger players, especially veterans, weren’t surprised that Daniels couldn’t find a deal"
Ditto
Not that I have some issue with this era of movies, it’s just that old rated R or X movies don’t show up on my movie channels too often.
Remember Red, hope is a good thing. Maybe the best of things. And no good thing ever dies.
I read the Mad Magazine parody back in the day ...
so I feel like I’ve seen it.

Mendonca
This announcer can’t stop talking about how awesome Mendonca is in the field.
I noticed that.
The Boise radio/tv guy used to rave about Mendonca’s D, too.
The Spokane radio guy as well. If he can fix the Ks we might have a guy here.
It's a good movie.
Both this and The Graduate have Dustin Hoffman’s final scenes take place on a bus. Real downer of a movie.
"Blalock in the cleanup spot makes gives me agita." - Dustin
And of course...
…when you saw the end of “The Graduate,” you said, “Hey, they stole this from the Simpson’s!”

Both pale in comparison
to Mr. Magorium’s Wonder Emporium.

And to think...
…that gay cowboy grew up to become the head of an international mercenary corporation.

Saw it when I was 13
Didn’t have a clue that he was a gay hustler.
A real head scratcher for young Bdiddy…

Hi, Keith. Is this the year Edinson Volquez finally wins RoY?
