My bad.

And so is Bleier. On to the next round!

Modesto up 1-0 in the first inning

The rbi single was a line drive over Paisano’s head and off the CF wall … for a single. heh

1-0 after the 1st inning.

The Blaze couldn’t get a guy home from 3rd with no outs. Future Rangers for sure.

Modesto strands 2 in the top of the 2nd.

Bakersfield dodged a bullet there – coulda been down multi-runs.

Paisano Pete triples off the CF wall with 2 outs, driving home Hogan.

Then Lawson then drives him home with a 2-out double off wall. Ball is carrying well.

BAK grabs the lead, 2-1 after 2 complete. It occurs to me that Michael Main is available
in the pen tonight. Might see him pitch some relief innings later on.

Blaze win 6-1!

Bleier walked a tight rope the first 3 innings but then settled down and was nails thru inning 8.
8 Ks, no BBs, 14-2 GO/AO ratio. Lawson was big offensively – Gomez had a big 2-run gapper
late to seal the deal.

Now they get fed to San Jose with all their prospecty mojo – best of 5 series starting tomorrow afternoon.

I'm impressed that they beat Friedrich and Billings

Those are a nice couple of pitching prospects, especially Friedrich.
