. Tate dropped passes. The refs blew easy calls and ran off the field like they were running a race. 2 seconds went off the clock on the last kickoff for no reason and the ball went out of bounds on the last play with one second left. Michael Floyd, the best receiver in the nation, got hurt for the game. But, yeah, lets do the ‘easy’ … Read Morething and just blame Weis for all of that. Texas barely beat a poor Ohio State team
Texas barely beat OK St.
Texas struggled against Baylor as well if I remember correctly.
Texas was ranked 116 out of 119 in pass defense. The BCS saved your ass, and you guys drew the weakest team in the BCS pool.

and your point is what?
officiating lost OU the game vs texas?
Scout: He was a first-round pick right? Got a huge bonus?
KG: Oh yeah.

No, my point is
that the more talented team played Florida and played them well. The second most talented in the Big 12 played the weakest team in the BCS pool and barely won.
How the hell did Texas deserve to play Florida?

No
Both OU and UT were very close to the same team last year. The Big XII could have went either way. As much as I dislike UT I do respect them.

I agree, they did have it in hand
and I said it was Weis’s fault. I don’t understand why they didn’t give the ball to Allen on second down when he had been having a great game.
However, the officials were pretty bad on both sides. They way too strict about what goes on in the trenches.

the officials were pretty bad on both sides
then why are you bitching about it. you win some and you lose some…but to blame that on the refs is stupid
…kind of like throwing it on 2nd and 10 and 3rd and 10 2 min left
…or like not going down in the middle of the field when you need a TD to win and you have a timeout to give

Your point was that there was no blame to be put on the officials
yet they were bad.

my point was that while that may have been something worth looking at
reason #1 they lost — weis dumb coaching
reason #2 they lost xxxxxxxxxxx

There isn't any blame to be put on officials...
Not when Charlie Weis had the game in hand and choked the game off BY HIMSELF…
A bad call did not cost them that football game. Jabba’s dumb ass did…

And I never said it did.
I said Weis’s play calling did.
But to say there wasn’t poor officiating is asinine.

Poor officiating...
Who cares? It was bad both ways…
This all started when I said Charlie Weis cost his team another game and you responded with this…
I think you’re pretty stupid to not put a bit of blame on the officials. What does the officiating have anything to do with anything?
by N41D on Sep 12, 2009 7:29 PM CDT up reply actions 0 recs
Alright, I agree
but my point is, is that the officiating was terrible, and the game might have been much smoother if it wasn’t.

you came across like
the officiating was terrrible and thats why ND lost
sorry

UT Football
The Longhorns looked fine on Saturday, Wyoming came to play in the first half and didn’t have the players to keep up. The Wyoming game was pretty dominating from the defense and once the Wyoming defense lost their steam Texas made big plays left and right.
