OT: Are you guys watching this Miami game?
All they wanna talk about is (new OC) Mark Whipple, Mark Whipple, Mark Whipple. Whippleball. Blah blah blah.
He looks like the real deal.
They keep talking him up so much I bet he'll be a head coach by next year..sucks.
But these schemes are amazing, this guy is good. And that's with Jacory Harris making some pretty bad decisions.
What a surprise, another team makes a major turnaround and becomes good in one year, happens to have a new OC..that never happens..

Did you happen to go to one of the games in that Toronto double-header a couple of weeks ago?

So Sharky....
what happened to that Kyle Shanahan led offense last week?

I dunno
But I I sure am happy about it lol.
I never said Shanahan would be great, he’s never been an OC before, so he didn’t have a track record. I just ASSUMED he probably would because he’s young and he obviously has that parental lineage. And that supposedly they made him OC because he did well in spot playcalling duty late last year.
Hopefully he sucks, but it’s only one game and I’d hardly be shocked to see the Texans still go 10-6 or something.
But I’m not that worried about the Texans even if Shanahan does turn out to be good because I looked up their DC and he sucks. They will suck on defense. Sort of like the Brian Stewart Cowboys.

But dont worry
If the Texans debacle this year, they’ll probably fire Kubiak and hire three dozen new OC’s this time, instead of the just two dozen they did last time.
Because it’s all about the talent.
BTW, how bout the McDaniels-less Patriots? I expect Wormichick to be hiring new OC’s by week 3.

Da U is BACK...
I hope so, anyways…
Not a UM fan at all, but College Football is better when they’re good.

Yeah theyre back
That Whipple offense looks damn near unstoppable. The defense is kind of shaky but from the looks of this game the offense is so good it doesnt even matter. Oh and I’d still have questions about Jacory Harris decision making…he didn’t even look at some wide open guys in favor of throwing into heavy coverage this game.
Anyways, should be a great game with OU.
So where’s Whipple next year? Hopefully co-ordinating the Cowboys after Garrett leaves for HC job LOL.

No jinx, please.
Hope the Canes can keep the momentum rolling into Blacksburg, but they were also declared “back” by many, including the four-letter network, after crushing A&M at home in 2007. I agree, this looks like a much, much better version than the ‘07 team, but I’m remaining cautious with the optimism.

Looking at this game box score...
George Tech..39 runs 15 passes, about 54 plays.
Miami, 25 passes 39 runs, about 64 plays..
But college box scores include sacks as rushing plays..so knock a few off, yep, it’s just like the NFL, about a paltry 50-60 plays since the new clock rules last year..
Hate that shit.
Under old rules this is about a 52-24 score..
College is just like the NFL now..few plays and all the teams seem mediocre..
