I find it quite ironic all these scrubs come out and pitch the game of their lives ONLY against the Rangers. Ridiculous!

And with their finances being what they are
they have the perfect excuse not to re-sign him and get a new voice here. I have no illusions that replacing Jaramillo would suddenly turn a bunch of hackers into walk machines, but like Maddux, a new hitting coach might connect with the players differently and gel with Washington’s philosophy better.

But not imported from China. Franklin G is one of those guys who actually is so much better than he was thought to be, if he isn’t on your side of course you’d hate him. See Jeff Sullivan’s analysis of Guti’s rather quizzical career progression. Hell, I’d rather he were our center fielder and there were no equivocations about Byrd’s role, Hamilton’s health, or Borbon’s defensive acument or arm. LF is a speed field, Julio can handle it and lead off, ’nuff said.
I guess I respect special ability when it pops up, even against us. Guti is in no way a Kennedy (who is actually pretty good), Rajai Davis, type case.

man that borbon discussion
got pretty intense. i’m with adam that he should probably be our CF next year. he may not be ready to be an excellent defensive outfielder, but i have a hard time imagining he wont at least be competent and get better throughout the year. im just not sure what better option we have, and there are definitely no better options that will be making 400k next year.
