LSB 2009 Attendance Poll?
As the premier destination on the web for die-hard Ranger fans, I'm curious as to how often LSBers actually get out to Rangers Ballpark throughout the seasons. It seems game-day threads are always busy, but how many go to games?? I try to get out to as many games as possible, but I think I set a new personal record this year with 14 games! If you can remember, please post the number of games you've been to this year, and feel free to count any future games you're planning to attend (vs LAA and TB).
It'd be cool to see how die-hard we all really are...
For the record, I'd love to be a season ticket holder, but between games never selling out and my sporadic work schedule, it's just so easy and convenient to buy tickets on game day at the stadium whenever I'm free.

Counted my stubs. I've attended 21 games this season
Most of those are cheap-seats that were never actually sat in
Didn’t get to see any walk-offs
As of now the highlight of the year is Fuckholz getting thrown out at home… and probably banging on the bleachers for the O’Day chant, which had so much promise
Low-point of the season was last Friday. Sitting through that shit just to see a ninth-inning rally get stopped by the rain

I assume the Bucholz play...
…was also Frankie’s horrible inning right?? The one where Murphy played the ball off the wall perfectly and we almost escaped with a W if it weren’t for VMart… UGH…Man that game pissed me off, don’t know if that’s my highlight of the season. Perhaps most gut-wrenching loss of the season.

I'm at
a little over 60 right now – I’ll have to count stubs later. Planning to go to all the remaining home games.
We have full season tickets – I know we skipped all six Boston games, and two of the Dodgers games, plus random other games we couldn’t make it to.

well hell.. lets see
i;m a full season ticket holder.
this year i did better than last year i think. I went to about over 40 games… maybe more. I’d need to do the math and figure what all games my tickets went to. Over all most tickets got used i think. . then if you consider i gave some of my tickets to friends and other family members.

We live 150+ miles away
and we make 12 to 15 games each year. This year, we have made 11 and it would have been 14, but missed the Friday rainout and couldn’t wait around for the 5:05 start on Sunday for the other two games. So our daughter and husband used the tickets. I also purchased play-off tickets.

I'd say somewhere 10-15...
Pretty well made it to 2/3 or so of the Friday night games, plus a few Wednesday night games, as well as July 4 and Memorial Day.
I was also in attendance for all 3 rain outs this year, plus another game that had a 2+ hour rain delay. So I’ve sat at the stadium this year for about 10 hours with the tarp on the field.

to my first 5 games in Arlington this year. Good times.
Much better than going to see them in Oakland like I had for the last 15+ years.
Wish I could go more often, but the cost/time to travel makes it difficult for me. I will probably be sticking to my baseball package on Directv in the coming years. Maybe once every 4 or 5 years I’ll try and take a trip out that way.

about 20
I have full season tickets which I split with a few friends. Went to about 12-15 in my own seats and expect to go to 3 more, plus I went to about another half dozen or so in other seats with groups plus one game in a suite. I also have a partial Riders plan and went to about a half dozen of those so we’ve had no shortage of live baseball attendance in our household.

If you are going to go to 14 games it’s hard to believe that you are better off buying tickets at the park on game day which is about the most expensive possible way to do it. Between the significant discount the Rangers give to season ticket holders, the exchange policy that only blacks out maybe a dozen games, and the fact that you can even use dead tickets for most games for a $1 fee, its hard not to come out ahead with a season ticket plan, not to mention that you’ll have better seats in whatever section you buy in..

35+ games gone to
Plus we were the ones that started the “o’day” chant that sent the crowd into a tizzy and tag and the ticket were all jazzed about when that went down.
Our crew is deadicated. We have about 10-15 peeps who are religious about it. We Only missed 2 $1 dog nights, next year will be even better.

And to get down to specifics
We don’t spend a ton of $$, we buy $3 kids tickets, we use the “get in where u fit in” policy of seating, we know parking peeps so we never pay for premium game rates and carpool. We bring gameday backpacks with bottled waters, peanuts, radios and snacks. We do it cheap as shit and we do it right. It’s taken a while to learn the ropes but I think we got our system down. Veteran adventurers I tell ya.

I’ve met people that have lived in Denver for decades and never driven 90 miles north to Wyoming. Which is fine since the only people I see while camping are annoying folks from CO. I’m guessing there are only 15-20 people on this board that have ever been to WY and most just went to Yellowstone.

In fact, I work just a few blocks from the capitol (I know – no one knows my name). Yes, I-80 west of Laramie is pretty desolate but a good portion of the state is nice. Yellowstone and Jackson are a little too touristy for my taste but that’s just me being an elitist native.
