Are the Rangers Done Yet?

PrintWith the Rangers 8 games back in the wild card race and 7.5 games back in the AL West standings many people are counting them out of the playoffs. The question is: "Are they done yet?" The way the Rangers have been playing lately, it seems almost logical to say that they are done but a guy can hope.
Here are the facts: The Rangers have lost 4 out of their last 5 series including being swept by the last place A's at home. The Rangers did not look very impressive in their last series against the Angels, who the Rangers probably have a better chance of beating out in the playoff race than the Red Sox, since they play the Angels and are half a game closer to in the standings to the Angels. The Rangers only series win in their last 5 series was a sweep of the Cleveland Indians who are currently on a 8 game losing streak and are in 4th place in the AL central ahead of only the lowly Royals. The Ranger's competition in the AL wild card race, the Red Sox are currently on a 3 game winning streak and only 1 series against a legitimately good team left. All of these facts point to the Rangers season being virtually over and having no chance of making the playoffs. Should we as rangers fans take that opinion or keep hoping. I personally am going to keep on hoping. Tell me what you guys think.

Rangers have 13 to play
Division
Angels (12 to play) – 6
Wild Card
Red Sox (13 to play) – 7
If the Angels and Red Sox play roughly 500 ball, its over regardless of what the Rangers do. The Rangers had their chances, but since Aug 1 have only played 500 ball. Thats just not good enough to close a lead.

look – would I date her? I wouldn’t turn her down…but if I have a choice, I’d take about 99 of the other top 100 Maxim or FHM or whatever rankings there are. I have a tough time seeing as how some think she’s # 1 and their “dream girl” but to each their own? Just my opinion.

Nah… I dunno what it is, really. Some chicks catch my eye, some don’t. For example, Anna Paquin on True Blood… even I would expect her to be my “type”, playing the whole southern damsel thing, but she doesn’t really do it for me either.
