Hammy, but no Cruz
Oh well. I’m still exited to see Hammy’s resurrection. We should hide colored eggs all over the ballpark to celebrate.
That's why they call them business sox
HAHA! That made me laugh.

wow
They need all the pitching they can get since they are in the AL East.
The good news for Rays fans is that Price, who will start the finale on Sunday against the Rangers, has posted a 3.41 ERA since July 31 and has shown marked improvement on his slider. And between Price, Matt Garza, James Shields, AL Rookie of the Year candidate Jeff Niemann, and newcomer Wade Davis, the Rays are stocked with five quality starting pitchers aged 27 or younger.

It's great...
I came from TimeWarner and Uverse is more reliable; less pixelation errors.
However, they didn’t tell me that the number of Tvs and computers online will affect throughput, and I also notice that with different TVs on the same channel, there is a lag where you can hear something on one TV then another, with about a 2 sec gap.

Is Cruz hurt
Why is he not playing? Does he not lead the team in HRs?

Well, he is hitting .146/.212/.229 in his last 14 games
Also, Ron Washington hates him.

A lot of questions to be answered next year--obviously CD is one and the young pitchers
But I’m most interested in whether Ian and Hammy fulfill their potential
I'm much more worried about CD
than Hamilton & Ian.
Much more.

And Moreland
Probably doesn’t have the ceiling of the other two, but if (god forbid) something happens where both Smoak and Davis bust, Moreland could be a safety net too.

I get the feeling we sweep the Rays
They look like they are even more dejected than we are about being out of it
we're from Texas

Hey, was that LSB's own Gossamer they just showed coming back from break?

It's funny, because I own him on my playstation
I’ve come from behind three different times against him late in games.

I don't think so
Based on the fact that it was a slow dribbler to first with a track star breaking from 3rd, I would have to say it was rare
Back to back walks
Wow.

Finally. Good for Ian.
Too bad he’ll never ever change his approach from now on.
Maybe but I could also see them either trotting CJ back out
or pulling somoene from further down the BP
What do voluntary mean?
Maybe now Ian can go back to hitting line drives
He better not try to tell us he hasn’t been thinking about that every AB after his reaction, either.

Yeah seriously. He's been looking for that pitch for sometime now.
He was swinging as hard as he could at almost every pitch ever since he got to 29. He was waiting for that moment.

with Kemp close at 26 Hrs and 34 steals and

People in here are really worried about Kinsler?
Really?
"Dying ain't hard. It's living that's hard."

It does seem crazy
But it is hard to look past that batting average isn’t it?

I'll take him just like he is now--I'm not worried
I was wondering if he was going to be MVP caliber
Not really worried.
He’s an awesome 2nd basemen, but he definitely has some holes in his game/approach and has lots of room for improvement.
He can be an MVP caliber player if he wanted.

I am
major drop in his OBP and huge jump in FB%. A..241 BABIP is a contributor but a career low LD% mitigates that some. Kinda curious about the rest of his offensive numbers

The wave in the 9th inning? Really?

Tampa Bay has it's cowbells, Oakland has the horns
Anaheim has the fucking monkey… it seems the RBiA’s lame bit is the wave.

you're an idiot. i've seen waves in L.A. in Boston at a playoff mavericks game.
everywhere
I'm just goofin' new boot goofin'
Yeah, but do they do it in the freaking 9th inning? I think not.
The fans at the RBiA always seem to pick horrible fucking times to do it.

but everyone does it. well everywhere.

do it in the 9th when you’re trying to close it out.

uhhhh, why the vitriol? (sorry if that word's too big for you)

I’m simply making a point that it’s the last inning…you don’t see the difference?

i was talking to jon cause he made it seem like we were the only ballpark that does the wave
I'm just goofin' new boot goofin'
Not really
My point is it’s becoming our lame bit, not that we’re the only ones that do it.

I was shocked to see the wave at Fenway...
I agree with you, though. It’s every game at TBiA and it makes us look moronic to be doing the wave when we should be cheering on the closer to finish the game

yay
the 1991 Ron Gant season?
32 HR, 34 SB, .251/.338/.496
or 1987 Joe Carter?
32 HR, 31 SB, .264/.304/.480
compares best to kinsler?

5th inning against the Tigers
Good call
And both of them were corner outfielders, I believe, which makes Kinsler’s stats that much more impressive
by #5withabullet on Sep 25, 2009 9:45 PM CDT up reply actions
I would say that last year was Ian's best
18 HR, 26 SB .319 .375 .517 121 Games (131 this year with this game)
Thinking more of Soriano's in 2005
.268/.309/.512 for and .812 OPS
36 HR, 30 SB,
JD’s like, "you want some fucking pitching? Here’s all the pitching you can stand. Now choke on it, bitches!"- RCCook
Soriano hit 46 bombs in 2006.
We have so many other things to worry about than Ian Kinsler.

and how is that any comparison to Sorianio in 2005 having a similar line than Kinsler this year
both Gant and Carter’s lines where worse the next year. In the following year Gant hit 17 and Carter had 27. There is to much variability to use that as a predictor.

I see kinsler got his 30/30. Hmm.
