Need to go 6-3 the rest of the way to get to 90 wins
Probably won’t do that (5-4 is more realistic) but it’s something to shoot for.
Hank is 7 runs below a zombie replacement at first base. Do you realize how terrible that is? Zombie’s can’t think, they’re slow, and they’re often ejected from the game for eating opposing baserunners’ brains. - Ben quantifies Hank Blalock
This bit is getting annoying.
There’s no special merit badges being handed out for acting like we have a chance the longest, man. I don’t know whether you’re serious or just trying to annoy people, because everyone knows it’s over – but let the season go with some dignity.

yeah, it is.
9/26/09
Rangers have 9 to play
Division
Angels (9 to play) – 4
Wild Card
Red Sox (9 to play) – 3

when you are at the stage
that teams only have to play 444 ball to clinch, even if you win out, its over.

Nope it's not
Indians just went on a 10 or 11 game losing streak. They’re not near as good as the Angels, but still it happens. Look I’m not saying that it’s likely or even realistic. I’m just saying it’s not over. The rangers could still do it.
If we didn’t play 4 games against them i’d agree, but we do.

I'm sorry Iorange, I'm soooo sooo sorry
but its over.

It's really amazing how the number of comments in other threads dropped right off the table after Adam started that thread.

Well
Season’s over and it’s the only action going on here, really. Too bad that thread is pretty boring itself.
No matter. Football season is in full swing and all is right with the world.

Which kind of shows that there's a bigger problem than a "special thread" will solve
But Adam seems to relish the inanity, and it’s his blog, so whatever.
Josey has problems.
But most posters here are annoying from time to time. I think Josey is funny, in a Tokyo Rose kind of way.

Same. Outlaw's bit is pretty funny.
The reactions he gets from people is amazing though.
He’s actually tooken seriously. Lol

To quote a recent shitty movie...
“I thought this was going to be funny, but it’s really kind of sad.”
Like I said in another thread
Every village needs it’s idiot.
The real problem is the people who let themselves get sucked into arguing with him – really, Josey is just an example of why SBN needs a built-in ignore system. ab03 is a god, but the reality is there needs to be something more intigrated.

Speaking of ab03
Wonder where he went.

And jayslick.
They’ve both disappeared.
"Blalock in the cleanup spot makes gives me agita." - Dustin
Well, Jayslick went postal on AJM in one of the Purke threads awhile back
Hasn’t been around much since.

Yeah, I was kind of interested...
to see if he just kept posting here and just pretended it never happened.
"Blalock in the cleanup spot makes gives me agita." - Dustin
Well, he's been around I guess, if you look at his profile page
Last posted four days ago. He just hasn’t been super-active.

Well
If Adam were into banning, I’d probably have been banned when I first showed up. It’s probably to his credit that he lets the goons sort each other out. Unless you can IP ban, it’s not too effective anyway, I’d guess.
by brettgardner on Sep 25, 2009 11:00 PM CDT up reply actions
Well
That’s mainly because we where lucky enough to have you around to play whack-a-dawg in the aftermath of his original banning.

Yeah, I guess he finally quit after 4 or 5 incarnations.

If so
Then he hasn’t gone back into his same bit and that’s just as good.

He would have kept going...
but I instituted a waiting period for new users. And banned him when he was in waiting period.

gardner should be banned
for lack of baseball knowledge alone.
He is in a baseball room, doesn’t know what the F is going on, has nowhere else to go so all he does to make a name for himself is cause trouble.
Right?

Ooh
I didn’t even post in the gameday thread today, and yet you still take a shot at me about soccer.
Glad to know I’m worthy of your attention even when I’m not around. I feel so pretty!

Maybe if you rooted for a...
better team whose fans weren’t known as scousers?
If Brad Pitt is playing Beane who do you want playing you?

Scousers
Nothing wrong with Scousers- I know a few, and they’re good guys. We also count Elvis Costello, Mike Myers, and Samuel Jackson among our fan base. And Sam Jackson is a bad MF.
My team looked pretty good today…

I'm just stating facts per Chris Davis.
His season this year was unacceptable.

OT: Johnny Depp was in the park today.
Not as a guest. As a Cast Member.
He played Jack Sparrow in the Captain Jack Sparrow Pirate Tutorial and in the halloween parade. I saw him without realizing it, but thought to myself it was a better Jack Sparrow than usual.
Yeah, he definitely just earned hella cool points with me.
