Mike Hindman hasn’t posted over at Inside Corner for a month or so. At first I assumed he was on vacation or something, but is he done there?

EG said
that he took time off due to work. He may be back in a month or so.
Elvis Andrus - 2009 AL Rookie of the Year
Mitch Moreland -Tom Grieve Rangers Minor League Player of the Year
Martin Perez - Nolan Ryan Rangers Minor League Pitcher of the Year
he took time off due to work.
The only thing that makes me skeptical is his absence began shortly after the Hamilton piece on deadspin, and he seemed pretty disturbed by that turn of events.
I thought he even mentioned about taking a break around then.

Well, the main page post
with Evan returning to the DMN now brings up all kinds of questions about Inside Corner.

Hmm, Buster Olney video in Durrett's article.
Texas Rangers needs: “Veteran OF, Backend starter, and bullpen help”
Uhhh….huh? I guess teams could always use more talent in their bullpen, but I disagree with the first 2. Much rather see work towards getting a front end starter (through trade) and a RH-DH.
If Brad Pitt is playing Beane who do you want playing you?
JD: Eddie Guardado.
Well
a veteran OF and a veteran DH can be the same guy.

On the main page,
Ed Werder doing a Cowboys update in Cowboys Statdium with the sportscenter logo being displayed on the giant tv in the background. That’s kinda cool (though I still don’t like Werder).

At 5:00,

I haven’t been to the site for Dallas, but I notice on ESPN broadcast promos for the new Dallas site there is no Ranger presence. All football, Stars, and auto racing in the graphic. I was peeved to see that.

Josh Hamilton is in it.
Not sure when the last time you’ve seen their promo’s.

There sure as shit isn't any Stars coverage on the site.
Just two blog posts by Durrett.

I was kinda excited for this
Seems like the dawn of a new era, with newspapers dying out and ESPN getting bigger..if ESPN can do a better/more efficient job of covering local markets, I dont mind.
That said, this site was pretty thin on content so far. Looks like they have a couple ex-DMN blogging the Cowboys though (Tim McMahon, Calvin Watkins).
Looked like just not a lot of content yet and not sure about the way they seem to just cherry pick some of their national networks/reporters stuff on the Dallas area teams, which isnt REALLY a local flavor.
Good sign
Durrett linked to Adam’s post yesterday about Byrd, so at least they’re not trying to pretend other blogs don’t exist.
