Rangers T-Shirts - Any idea requests?
So I posted a T-Shirt design in one of the GDTs and a few people thought I should put it up for sale on cafepress or whatever.
I'm going to go ahead and do that just in case anyone might actually go through with a purchase since I spend half my freetime making rangers graphics stuff anyway.
So heres where I'm at right now.
click to here to see it its own window.
Anyway while I put that together, make some more and figure out some technical issues to make them work properly on a t-shirt....
Anyone have a request? I don't have that many other ideas (though I am working on a few more), if anyone has something clever they think would work and they would buy post the idea and if like it/ithink I can execute it it decently I'll try to make an attempt.
Obviously I don't have the mlb license heh so I can't include logos and such.
note: I'll be posting some additional possibilities later in the thread.

I don’t want to just straight up rip an exact design but I’ll see if I can come up with something.

well that was a walking advertisement with halosheaven.com printed on the back
printed locally and shipped out personally.
unrealistic for just random custom t-shirts unless AJM wants some lonestarball branding or something heh.
i would just put them on cafepress or something, the cheapest they go is around 16 dollars for the cheapest white t-shirt. Add money for colored or darker shirts, or high quality etc. Not to mention any extra money at all that would go back to me, which is only 10% of the price by default.
Looking at them they get pretty expensive.
Operating under the assumption only a handful would actually be sold of various designs I don’t think theres anything I can really do price wise. It would take a commitment of lots of orders of one to buy them in bulk to get a discount and i doubt there are enough interested people to do that.

Why not do a poll the pick the favorite? Produce just this one shirt, which would hopefully keep costs down a bit. I’d imagine quite a few people here would buy one. I sure would.

I found an online store site that would let me do the back of the feliz shirt as originally intended

compared to

Price: $27 because it uses 3 graphics, but a normal dark t-shirt would be ~18$ with only a front graphic, more reasonable than cafe press’s 22+ for dark (less for white/light).

I understood that it was hands in handcuffs
I didn’t make the connection that it was the wearer’s hands because they were so small and high up on the shirt. When they are larger and lower down (in the place where your hands would be if you were cuffed), I made the connections. Sometimes I’m slow, but I eventually make it to the finish line.

general update
Bulk t-shirt: I’ve looked up a couple local t-shirt printing places I’m going to check out this weekend to get exact prices. I’m still doing some other designs and requests, but i think its clear the Andrus T-shirt is the favorite so sometime this weekend or early next week I’ll make a post taking exact requests for a single printing of it.
I’ve got my cafepress and zazzle.com stores mostly set up (personalized) but now have to finish and optimize the designs to put on there + see if I can figure out exactly whats legal to sell (even though I don’t think I would get in trouble, best to be safe) and at least not do anything too brazenly wrong. I figure all that will take a week or so, I don’t want to like put 2 up now and friday and such.

online baseball t-shirt shop
Win Column Graphics or Win Column Creations.
You could also set it up so that a small portion of proceeds go to the Kuster’s charity, which could be a symbiotic thing for both you and them.
Other ideas would be variations of baseball catchphrases like:
Winning Streak T-shirts
Slump Buster Graphics
Bases Juiced Inc.
Light Tower Power Co.
High Heat Creations
etc, etc
Also, I’d strongly suggest that you come up with a logo for your brand (with website listed in fine print) and put that somewhere on all shirts that you sell. Serves as great advertising and when you start making and selling lots of shirts, people will start recognizing that several cool shirts that they are seeing around are coming from the same spot.

holy cow.
Awesome shirts & designs dshepp..I’d be happy to help too if I could in any way possible
Could you sell these outside the park? (Maybe not YOU but someone?)— could be a goodway to make some $$ with more fans coming to the park/before the games. I’d invest some in it…
Scout: He was a first-round pick right? Got a huge bonus?
KG: Oh yeah.
Scout: Well, he spent a lot of it on milkshakes.

the parking lot at Sherlock's
There is a bus that will take you to the game there and a bunch of people park in that lot and ride the bus to the game, as well as a decent before and after the game crowd. I think Lewin’s band plays there occasionally. I bet you could sell a few dozen shirts there on a homestand wkend.
And speaking of Lewin, if there is any way you get somebody (oc would seem to be the perfect guy) to get themselves on camera with Lewin’s mic on them and give a shout-out to your website that would be pretty sweet for ya.

I meant Knox's mic
As many times as they cut to him in the stands, I bet it ain’t that difficult to get some air time.

oh yea
or even better, maybe just send a shirt to TAG and Josh (or see if you can get knox to wear one while on camera? — would work well if you gave a percentaeg of sales to hello win column? or maybe see if JN would put it in the report or something? – doubt that would happen though)

How about a skeleton
Like the cartoon version of someone sitting at a computer, but at the Ballpark. Include the Rangers logo and the bones wearing a T cap. Maybe the text could be “The Texas Rangers will be the death of me”
"He uses statistics as a drunken man uses lamp-posts... for support rather than illumination." - Andrew Lang (1844-1912) also -
"Telephone, n. An invention of the devil which abrogates some of the advantages of making a disagreeable person keep his distance."
~Ambrose Bierce

I like that
or a headstone with “Cause of death: Texas Rangers”
"I think I'm going to name my new car Scooter, because it dominates on the road." - mikeyoungfuturehof, 9.10.09
"I’ve been a Rangers fan all my life and I can tell you there’s been plenty of fucking crying in baseball…" - WhipSmart, 6.3.08

Or a shirt with that Jamey quote
“My tombstone will read: cause of death, world series” (I’m paraphrasing, I don’t quite remember the exact wording).
Hank is 7 runs below a zombie replacement at first base. Do you realize how terrible that is? Zombie’s can’t think, they’re slow, and they’re often ejected from the game for eating opposing baserunners’ brains. - Ben quantifies Hank Blalock

Nice
A pessimistic t-shirt is just what we need =p
Another one on the list.
The rangers destroying the season annoying me + some real life stuff has stopped me from messing with getting the one local printing going(although I got a couple price quotes that were a little higher than expected), but I guess there isn’t really a rush anymore, no need to capitalize on the rangers great playoff run =(
