Feliz says his greatest thrill was striking out Boston Red Sox DH David Ortiz, one of his heroes. Yet, when he called to tell his parents, his mother had a request: Strike out New York Yankees third baseman Alex Rodriguez, too.

We’ve made some baserunning blunders (Byrd and Kinsler both picked off early) but we’ve still scored 4 runs and ended our 16 inning scoreless streak.

4-1 Rangers in the top of the 5th right now.

by kumizi on Sep 8, 2009 5:57 PM CDT reply actions

No, he didn't have enough time. This is actually one of the game things that fans CAN see.

This has also been the fucking problem the last few times Worsh has brought him into games.

I don’t understand why, with 2 righties coming up, he doesn’t bring in O’Day to face Marte/Marson and let Feliz get warmed up.

by LiamP on Sep 8, 2009 6:00 PM CDT up reply actions

He didn't have enough time to wram up because

Nobody expected Tommy Hunter to implode so early. His pitch count was extremely low and hes been one of the best pitchers on our staff this year. This isn’t a video game where you can warm up a guy everygame regardless of whether you use him or not.

If you are going to bring in a guy in that situation cold I would bring in Feliz everyday over ODay. We needed a strikeout right there and ODay, as good as hes been, is not a strikeout guy.

Feliz was throwing mid to upper 90s but he was being too cute and trying to get guys to chase breaking pitches. Why he or Pudge didn’t trust his fastball I don’t know. But they should have and maybe we wouldn’t have given up those tying runs

HAHAHAHA the anti-call!!!! I'm going to call for a bunt from now on.

Feliz says his greatest thrill was striking out Boston Red Sox DH David Ortiz, one of his heroes. Yet, when he called to tell his parents, his mother had a request: Strike out New York Yankees third baseman Alex Rodriguez, too.
"So when I did that," Feliz says, "I told my mom, 'There you go. There's your present. Don't ask me to strike anyone else out, OK?'

I rewinded the tv and it looks like it hit him in the cleat.

I can’t tell for sure because the pitchers leg is in the way. Only other thing it could have done was hit the bat. three options.

1. hit him, he’s on first
2. foul ball, he’s back at the plate.
3. he swings and misses and gets to first since they didn’t tag him or throw him out.
