Curse your sudden but inevitable betrayal!
Who are the 6 guys that voted for Ramirez?
By 2028, Mark Teixeira will be in the HOF.

I didn't but I can see why someone would vote for him.
He’s the pitching equivalent of Engel Beltre, imo. That said, I’m not too high on Beltre, anyway.
Kirkman

I've got Kirkman at 14th in the system
Just sayin’. Haha.
Kirkman
Most peoples rankings have him higher than this. I admit I tend to forget about him, but I also wasn’t overly impressed the times I saw him (which was maybe 3+ starts)
"I'm against picketing, but I don't know how to show it." - Mitch Hedberg
He still has a lot of developing to do
but injuries + yips have hurt his development and put him behind the curve. He may never be a starter in the Majors, but I talked to a few scouts that loved him as a hard-throwing bullpen lefty.
One thing I don’t think people realize–his slider was a really promising swing-and-miss pitch this year. And that slider had been on the shelf for a few years. Rick Adair told him something along the lines of, ‘If you can’t command one pitch, why are you trying to throw four?’ So when the command came back, he brought the slider back (in Spring Training last year), and it became his best offspeed pitch.
For me
You’ve got do have one hell of a season to jump up that high in this system after being nothing more than an afterthought for so long. I’ll take the potential upside of a guy like Edwin Escobar over him. I guess I’m also not too big in being down on a player for his build or if he isn’t projected to be the right build.

I think too much
Can be made of build etc. People tend to fall in love with the prototypical player or the player with ‘raw’ physical tools. Guys that are 5’11" get a bad rap vs guys that are 6’0". I’m not so sure that 1" gives a pitcher a better breaking pitch or allows them to command their pitches better, but they’ll still get a knock on them for their size. It’s perception, not performance.

I've definitely been voting for him awhile.
I have to think some of his decline in AA was fatigue and injury recovery…

Almost halfway done!
Not mediocre. Right about average
Pretty much...
I went with Macumba, just because his name was first.
Seriously though, I could see going with one of at least a dozen guys here.

Nope
Mitch don’t K and Nooch K’s a ton

Nooch
Struggled in high A, but didn’t K a ton and drew more walks in single A. I think if he can show he can make adjustments next year, he’ll jump up IMO. He still may struggle at the upper levels, but at this point I’m not holding that too much against him. I didn’t vote for him. I might, though in a few more spots. I think he’s a late 20’s, early 30’s guy. Those guys usually have some flaws
