So, how do I value Vlad? 2010 was a down year, and not the kind where it was an obvious fluke. Sure, his batting average was down from his career norm—and this is especially bad for a guy who doesn’t walk much—but, he just looked old last year. Supposedly, he’s hurt enough that he will almost exclusively DH. Assuming his performance is somewhere between what it was in 2008 and 2009, I estimate Guerrero to be worth about $6.5 million next season.

It's almost impossible...
to know what Vlad will give the Rangers in 2010. He has been a good enough player in the past that he was worth the risk though imo. Hopefully he can stay healthy, and if he puts up #‘s between what he did in ’08 and ’09, I’d be very happy.

I'm hoping for about a .365 wOBA and 130-140 games out of him.
All the projection systems have him in the .350’s, but if he really does rebound this year I think you can expect a little better than that.
