he hasn’t been pitching too long and I think he’ll continue to grow into it and survive as he moves up the ladder.

as a 2009 draftee
he pitched quite well being placed in short season Spokane with a low 90’s sinker and a changeup that flashes as a plus pitch. His slider apparently needs to be refined according to Jason Cole. He could be a quick mover.

Despite the head, the stuff is too good. It would be nice to salvage him somehow.

I didn't vote for him, but...
Down the stretch, Neil Ramirez was showing quite a bit of improvement. He had a bad final outing in September, but:
In July………6 starts, 3.38 ERA, 29.1 IP, 18 hits, 17 BB’s, 16 K’s
In August…..6 starts, 2.86 ERA, 22 IP, 17 hits, 13 BB’s, 28 K’s
The walks are still a big problem. But he is young; had he taken Georgia Tech up on their scholarship, he wouldn’t have been eligible to be drafted until this coming June.

He's almost like Beltre
he still has time, still has a ton of talent, but it seems like a long shot at this point. It’s entirely possible that both could look like studs come July, but both have huge holes in their games right now.

And both related to walks
Ironic, or coincidental?

Curse your sudden but inevitable betrayal!
What exactly does he have going against him upstairs?
Any Gut type things or is he just a mental midge between the lines?
