Didn't like the ending.

I did............

……….(spoiler alert)

………I love that Ryan Bingham didn’t end up with the girl. That would have been lazy and predictable.

Excellent film.

Meh.

I saw the ending coming from a mile away, don’t know why but I saw it coming.

Yeah, it was a very good film

and I like Clooney. I was expecting more Zach Galifianakis though.

I have not seen the movie yet, but I am intrigued that the main character's name is Ryan Bingham

Maybe people will google “Ryan Bingham” and find out there’s an outstanding singer by the same name. More people should know about the greatness of Ryan Bingham.

liked it a helluva lot more than up in the air, at the very least it should grab some acting nominations for bridges (maybe maggie) and not knowing much about the other films take home the award for best song

im not a country music guy but i was really diggin the music

It was written by

T-Bone Burnett and the late Stephen Bruton from Ft. Worth, then Austin. Well done.

The "Weary Kind" was actually written by Bingham

No shit.

I thought that was a T-Bone tune, but it doesn’t surprise me at all.

Here’s a short interview with Bingham about the movie:

http://nymag.com/daily/entertainment/2009/12/crazy_heart_songwriter_and_gol.html

Here’s what Bingham says about writing the song and T-Bone’s contribution (he’s credited a cowriter). Sounds like Bingham is the man behind the song, T-Bone just helped finish it off:

“Weary Kind” plays a central role in the movie. How was it decided that this track would be “the one”?
Well, I wrote the song and I recorded it at home. Scott and T-Bone gave me a call and wanted me to come over and meet up with them. So I brought the tune over and we sat down and listened to it. Right off the bat, T-Bone looked at me and said, “That’s the song we want to use.”
T-Bone is actually credited as a co-writer. What did he add to it?
That line at the end of the song — “You are the man who ruined the world” — he came up with that. I can’t really remember all the little things he did. But that was the main thing, he helped on that last verse. I pretty much just had a couple of verses and the chorus, and we added a little more to it.

Mescalito is probably in my top five all-time favorite albums

When I first heard it, it just blew me away. For someone like me who loves the lonesome country, Mescalito is a perfect soundtrack.

I somewhat agree

But their other options were quickly disappearing. DeRosa and Bay signed last week.

And for all of the talk about Coors Field making Holliday what he is, he had a 2009 of .313/.394/.515 with an OPS+ of 139. That’s a pretty darn good year.

Plus, with Glaus, Adam Kennedy, and Khalil Greene going away, that freed up $22 mil in money to spend.

It means.....

There is one less team looking for a bat. Means we are one step closer to getting a DH. One less team to use as leverage. May not be much, but it isn’t nothing. Now we have to hope that we don’t screw it up!

Thus far, more than halfway through the 2009-10 free agent signing period, teams have given only seven players contracts of three years or longer. In 2006-07, 31 players received deals of three or more years.

to get the best FA talent, you overpay

That’s just the way the system works. Somebody overpays, and if someone doesn’t overpay the Yanks or the BoSox get another great talent at a discount.

The Cardinals have the decade’s best hitter who is still hitting like he’s in his prime, plus two legit aces in Carpenter and Wainwright. It would be criminal for that team to cry poor on getting a needed piece of the top shelf. Wouldn’t you hate to be the GM blessed with Pujols and never put a championship team around him?

What a drag it is being broke.
