35,000+ posts in 2 years for LSJ..

That’s close to a 50 post per day avg, isn’t it?

by cmkelly29 on Jan 6, 2010 11:10 AM CST reply actions

What's wierd is

My profile says I have 34,772 posts (I’m getting closer to that 35,000 milestone than I realized) and 34,747 of those have come at LSB. Yet the numbers above only add up to 34,199 by my math. And I I could swear I didn’t join before January 2008.

So unless I’m wrong about when I joined (probably the likely explanation) there’s 548 posts missing in there somewhere.

You'll have to elaborate on the "various"

Because I really don’t think I’ve had 548 posts deleted by AJM.

Happy to.

Best (yet still arbitrary) guess is about 75-85% of the “missing” comments were replies to deleted FanPosts, FanShots, Stories and parent comments.

For site performance reasons, the number in your profile is still going to reflect these comments.

What you should take away is 34,199 of your comments, all made between the day you signed up and 12 am on 1/1/2009 UTC, are still visible on the site. The difference between that number and your profile count is the result of a combination of direct and indirect (read: not targeted at you) moderation events.

Some of my friends are appalled by my post count on Texags (I may be over 20,000 by now)

But I spent quite a few games helping with the play-by-play on the Aggie baseball game threads. You can rack up a few hundred posts really quickly doing “Ball 1” or “2 run double!!!” and not even realize it.

I know it's been awhile since you lived in Bawlmer, but have you followed the Sheila Dixon case at all?

Plea reached, and man, did she get off easy:

http://www.baltimoresun.com/news/maryland/baltimore-city/bal-dixon-trial0106,0,1965267.story

So, lemme see if I have this all straight.

As mayor, you pocket thousands of dollars of gift cards donated to the poor, spending them all on yourself.

Then you have the audacity to assert you “got confused.” That it was “accidental.”

They have you dead to rights, already guity on 1 charge of perjury, and another one that isn’t looking too good in coming up in March.

And this is the “fair deal” the DA works out??

A jury found Dixon guilty last month on a charge of stealing gift cards intended for needy families.

According to the seven-page agreement, signed in the judge’s chambers, the mayor waived her rights to appeal the two cases. She also agreed not to seek or to accept any payments for attorneys’ fees from the city and not to seek or be employed by the state or city during the term of her unsupervised probation. point.

Damn. She has to pay her own attorney’s fees. Harsh! At least she won’t ever have another opportunity to steal on the Gov. dime.

Dixon cannot run for city or state office for at least two years, but could attempt to run after that

Doh.

And the capper:

The deal allows Dixon to keep her $83,000 yearly pension amassed during a long career in public service, and prosecutors agreed not to seek further criminal charges against the mayor.

Unfuckinbelievable.

I’d like to know how many times Dirkatron referenced the sweater vests that I supposedly but don’t actually own.

In fact, is there any way to create a montage of all of Dirk’s posts dealing with the acts of punting, deficating on, or sexing from behind any of the following parties:

I imagine I lead this site in a great many things...

*Baby Punting.
*Proclamations of love for the 40.
*References to “sex criming people”, usually in or around their fucking face or genitals.
*Brett Gardner Hearts Twilight references.
*Making fun of Brian Thomas for being probably the worst person on the planet and also for how ugly he is and how he has no idea how to pleasure a woman (or so his wife tells me).
*Lemon Loving.
*The NBA being rigged. (Which it is, btw.)
*Butt and/or Ass Shit
*Borderline nonsensical rants where I threaten to commit violence against the homeless and/or working poor.

But… most rec’d comments? Doubt it. Probably T for the Dad jokes, like I said, or possibly one of the quasi-analysts we have around here, like Trip or David or whoever. Damn them and their “knowledge”!!!
