Well, overall a pretty decent week in the game of college football. We got to see Oklahoma nearly choke away the RRR, Les Miles nearly lose again due to poor clock management, and we got to see Tech get killed by Iowa State, with their defense giving up 52 points.
The AP Top 25 Poll was just released a few minutes ago, and wow, there's some crazy stuff to talk about. UT dropped out of the Top 25 for the first time since 2000. Utah made it back into the top 10 for the first time since they finished the 2008 season at #2 in the country. Okie State made the jump into the Top 25 at #21. Pretty impressive, considering they were picked by some publications to finish last in the Big 12 South.
Also, Oregon leap-frogged the Broncos of Boise State to move to #3 in the country. Yes, the same Oregon team that got dominated last season on the blue turf. But they play in the Pac 10!
TCU stayed at #5 (I'm shocked), and OU moved up to #6 after their big win yesterday.
And holy shit, Baylor got 10 votes in the AP Poll. I want to give some props to the Bears in Waco. I gave Aquaman and GhettoBear some massive shit after TCU beat Baylor, but that game in retrospect was an aberration The 10 votes puts them at #32 IN THE COUNTRY, ahead of Virginia Tech and Penn State. Holy crap.
Here's some games of note next week.
#1 Alabama vs. #20 South Carolina
#2 Ohio State vs. Indiana
#11 Arkansas vs. Texas A&M (JERRY WORLD)
#12 LSU vs. #14 Florida
Baylor vs. Texas Tech (COTTON BOWL)
