Weekend games
I know TBS doesn't have to take anything into account, but it looks like the area around the Ballpark is going to be a nightmare Saturday and quite possibly Sunday.
Saturday the A&M/Arkansas game has a 2:30 kick off which with the length of college football and the expected run time of a playoff game means the better part of 150,000 people leaving that area at once.
Here's hoping they don't do the early afternoon start time for the Rangers Sunday, as imagine the problems of a home Cowboys game being combined with Rangers playoff parking at the same time. Well they decided that ratings demanded the Yankees to have every prime time spot they could, which I guess is smart business.

I think getting into the ballpark will be the bigger issue
The football game should be over around 6.
A playoff baseball game probably won’t be over in 3 hours. You are looking at probably 6:30-7 before thats over.
And if you're in no big hurry to get out of Dodge,
may as well stop by the tailgate and let traffic thin out anyway!

Getting there is my bigger concern

exactly, post-game traffic should be fine
I’ll be coming from Mesquite (sp?) straight to the game. What would be a comfortable amount of time I should give myself around 1PM? This would be right in the heart of Football traffic

Depends what you want to do
If you are just going to park and go straight into the stadium and mill about there till gametime then 1pm is plenty of time. Don’t expect the close up lots to have space at that time but you should be fine getting parked and into the stadium in plenty of time.
If you want to tailgate or do stuff outside the stadium then 1pm may be pushing it a bit. You have to figure it’ll take you 60-90 minutes to get parked and then probably 30 min to walk to the park and get to your seats. That only leaves an hour to do stuff
My friends and I will be there at 11am to get a spot and set up shop. Probably won’t make it over to the LSB tailgate although you never know. Should be a great day
