Rangers' Offseason Homes
Tonight I went to a high school basketball game, and in the crowd of about 200 people was none other than Ian Kinsler. I have no idea why he was there, and also why he was still in Dallas. Don't most MLB players make offseason homes elsewhere? I know Cliff Lee lives in Arkansas in the offseason, and I know Torii Hunter lives somewhere in Texas. I was wondering, where do our Rangers players live in the offseason? How many (and which) of them stay in the Metroplex year round?

I think Ian, MY, Hamilton, and I'm sure a few others all live here
Just look on their bio page and see where it says “Home:” and that’s where they live. I know Tex used to live in Southlake off of Dove in one of those castle like houses up there.

Pretty sure Kinsler lives in HP now
These things can be looked up on the county appraisal district websites.

Sometimes they don't have their house listed by their name though.
For privacy concerns. But yeah, see what you can find on www.dallascad.org

yeah
that’s where I found Kinsler’s. It’s under his wife’s name.

Meh

That's a pretty one-sided swap.
That’s like trading Benji Molina for Joe Mauer.

I think Oliver lives in Grapevine or Southlake and has for a long time
Torii Hunter lives in Prosper
didn’t CJ and Cam Lowe used to have a place in uptown?
They did indeed.
One day a few years ago I was coming home from work and saw them doing long toss in Cole Park. I e-mailed him to ask him if that was really them and he said yeah, that they lived right there.

I ran into Kam Loe in the pit at Edge Fest 18
2 years ago. He was heading out dragging a hot blond behind him. He towered over everyone…………..that’s all I got.

Hamilton lives in the Colleyville/Grapevine area
His kid goes to Covenant in Colleyville. He’s said many times how much he loves this area and how he’d hate to ever move his kids from here. Should help in contract talk
He used to live in Grand Prairie down by Joe Pool Lake
In 2008 at least. A coworker got him to sign a ball for me. Always thought that was a strange place for a MLB player to live.

Theres some nice houses down there
And for a guy making league minimum (and since he blew through his signing bonus on crown and coke literally) its not unreasonable.
I wonder where Elvis lives? Can’t be too nice since hes only made 800K the last two years
Yeah, he probably lives in Stop Six or something.

Well
This neighborhood was nice enough, but decidedly middle-class. I know what houses you’re talking about down there and it wasn’t part of that neighborhood.
Joaquin Arias lived next door to one of my buddies in some apartments off post and paddock & 360. Apparently he hasn’t been back since he was traded.

OT...
So W was at the Costco that my wife works at today. No better place for that guy to sell books than in the most conservative state in the country I suppose. My wife said the place was pretty crazy as you could imagine.
You have to figure he’ll spend a lot of time in the more conservative states on his little book tour. Not sure he’d be very popular in Southern California. Perhaps I’d gain a sliver of respect for the clown if he donated a portion of his book profits towards the deficit that his bullshit war has helped put this country in. Somehow I don’t see that happening though.

I think W blocked me from getting Nolan's autograph
I was sitting just above all of them at the ALDS, went to the gate to their seats and asked a guy sitting there if it would be possible to get a card to Nolan along with the sharpie I brought for that purpose. Guy said no and I’m pretty sure he was secret service. I agree if folks think it was rude for me to even ask and bother Nolan but hell, I traveled a long way with the partial hope of meeting him since he’s the major reason I’m the only Rangers fan in Wyoming (to my knowledge).

You mean W didn't write it himself?
No way. After listening to the guy talk for 8 years I was convinced that he wouldn’t have a problem writing a book.
