Rangers sign Barret Loux

T.R. Sulllivan has word that the Rangers have won the bidding on free agent pitcher Barret Loux. Loux, you'll remember, is the guy the Diamondbacks chose #6 overall as a bargain overdraft while Josh Byrnes was still running the team. A month after the draft, Jerry DiPoto took over and decided to let Loux go unsigned and take the 7th pick in the 2011 draft after Loux reportedly failed his physical. Loux challenged the decision and was declared a free agent on September 1.

No word yet on what kind of bonus the Rangers gave him.

UPDATEAnthony Andro tweets that Loux gets $312,000.
