This year, I'll add YouTube links (that open in a new window) for a track from each artist that I can find from the favorites. I'll start from 20 and go to 1. Best songs are in no particular order, and I pick a random song to grab from YouTube, usually the single or a more accessible track.

There's my list. Obviously there were more than 20 good to great albums put out this year. These 20 just stuck out to me for one reason or another. Charlotte Gainsbourg for example, I got her album while in London, then found out she was playing in London a week later. Needless to say, I went and was blown away at how good she was.
