MLB Players Map

Stay connected for news and updates

So I'm finishing up my Computer Mapping class for my GIS degree, and I thought I'd share my first map with you guys.

I decided to create a map based on the number of MLB players that come from each state and compare it to the population in 2000. It's basically just a comparison between a state's population and how many players they have produced since 1876.

The height of the map represents how many players were produced, while the color of the state represents the population in 2000. And as you could guys, the MLB logo represents where each team is located.

It's only my first one but I wanted to know what you guys think. What other baseball maps should I make?
