Because of the quick scoring last game
it was much easier to watch. Now, given that it is 0-0 and CAN has all sorts of scoring opportunities, this is a really hard game to watch

The core of that team is spinelss. Crosby is the 2nd best player on his team. Thornton/Sharks are known to be soft. I’m just not impressed.

Miller deserves the MVP
Easily the best player in the tournament. Great cheer given by the Canadian crowd to him. I just wish the Stars had someone like him. Btw, Morrow had a pretty solid last couple of games for the Canadians. Hopefully, it carries over to the rest of the season.

The skating drew 23+ million viewers on NBC. By your own admission, the the first hockey game would not have drawn those kinds of numbers. So why exactly was it collossally dumb to show the event that would provide them with better ratings and more importantly, better ad revenue.

They could have shown both is the issue
It wasn’t the medal round of ice dancing and the favorites and Americans didn’t skate until AFTER the hockey game was over. What they showed while the hockey game was going on was tape delayed skiiing or snowboarding and ice dancers that meant very little if any to the American people.
Given thats games excitement and action, maybe yesterdays numbers could have been even higher.
