7. Adam Dunn. I know he was a quarterback in his younger days, but at 6-6 and 240 pounds, he would be a pretty good left tackle.
Buster Olney, listing MLB players he think could handle the NFL. This jumped out at me, since he's underestimating the weigh of a good left tackle by anywhere from 50-100 pounds.

obviously he would be taking steroids in the NFL
so, his weight shouldn’t be a problem.

Yer momma’s a good left tackle.
Rangers pitchers and catchers are scheduled to report on Thursday, February 18.

Adam Dunn can't run out of the room I'm standing in right now.
But back in the day, he swiped quite a few bases.
Gracchus (about Obama): I think he knows what America is. America is the mob. Conjure money for them and they'll be distracted. Take away their freedom and still they'll roar. The beating heart of America is not the paper of the Constitution, it's the power of the media. He'll bring them debt - and they will love him for it.

In 1947 he'd have been right...
I was at a golf cc bar not too long ago when a drunk idiot came staggering up saying Phil Nicholson could probably plan FS or corner in the NFL. I hate it when people make ridiculous cross-sport analogies.
Greetings from the Humungus, the Ruler of the Wasteland, the Ayatollah of Rock and Roll-A. I laugh at your puny plans.
Phil Nicholson...
Jack Nicholson’s bastard son?

In the interest of quicker games Ron should just tell the ump he's pulling the Feliz card and the ump should rule the inning over.--Sherman McCoy on Sept. 4, 2009
I wouldn't mind the rangers trading for
a left tackle at the trade deadline
A baseball game is simply a nervous breakdown divided into nine innings.
That would be greatness
to see a 310 lb catcher.

OTs in baseball
I would hope you wouldn’t find any players in baseball that have the actual weight to play OT in football.
Kyle Blanks
need about 30 more lbs to make it happen

Prince Fielder could make a run at it.
Just give him the motivation and a buffet line.

Don’t the Rangers still own his rights on some kind of restricted list? Something tells me he could be a pretty good RB at the NFL level.

I think they had to return him to the Phillies
He was a Rule 5 pick.

I don't think he was ever returned
I seem to remember seeing him sitting on the Rangers’ restricted list for several years. He was the Beltre and Ogando of ten years ago.
Go Rice Owls!
here is terrible evidence
but a newspaper clipping from 2001 saying that he had been on the Rangers RL since 1999

According to his wikipedia page:
Williams was selected out of Patrick Henry High School in the 8th round of the 1995 baseball amateur draft by the Philadelphia Phillies, and played for four years at the Class A level with the Batavia Muckdogs of the New York-Penn League and the Piedmont Boll Weevils of the South Atlantic League. He was then taken in the 1998 Rule 5 draft by the Montreal Expos, who sold his rights to the Texas Rangers.

And then they ask you again and you say, 'I think I got something in my eye.' I'd much rather be run over, that's more manly." -- C Jarrod Saltalamacchia, on the pair of strange injuries (dizziness, eye irritation) that have forced him to miss time this season.
