Opening with Bittersweet Symphony FTW
I was just thinking the other day how cool that would be on a highlight reel.
Morality you can fake. Fun you either have or you don't.
I love it
Its just one of those songs that permeates generational gaps and is so brightening… Plus, “Bittersweet Symphony” is a great description of 2009.

Tom seems to think that #4 was better than #1.
Listening to the audio for #4.
It is a great thing to know the season for speech and the season for silence.

Haha
I love that for that comment, and Josh saying “How do you feel about moving MY now???”

He's correct.
Number 4 was more impressive because he actually got the guy, and because Josh brought the whammy down on MY’s head on the move to 3B.
Just so perfect.
Don’t know why people liked the Johjima one so much, he was fucking safe.

The Nadel call really helps to sell it
“Elvis Andrus has just performed a MIRACLE!”
But yeah, I like the Gutierrez play a lot more.

Dirk’s favorite band is The Verve
but he pronounces it "The Werwe"

The Verve
Apparently Richard Ashcroft got the name from another small Liverpool band back in the day, just straight took it.

Royalties
Don’t they have to pay royalties to the stones for this song?
by Chrom on Feb 9, 2010 3:51 PM CST via mobile reply actions
Yes
The Stones let them sample some of the song The Last Time, then turned around and sued them saying they used to much after the song Bittersweet Symphony became popular.

I was at the Buchholz game
we were going absolutley insane. I don’t remember a time in my life where there was a bigger swing of emotions in such a short amount of time. That crowd ERUPTED when he was out, sheesh.
Also, love the addition of Nadel’s call. “Elvis Andrus has just performed a MIRACLE!” That call alone was one of the top moments of the year for me.
This got me soooooooooo pumped for the upcoming season. 8 short days…..

Wow...
As if I needed any more reason to be excited for this year. That was incredible. I was at the game where Hambone crashed up against the right field wall and I could hear it from my seats behind the home dugout. That was a great weekend seeing as that was when we swept ’em. One more week of off-season…

Great stuff. Bravo...
…my only wish is that there had been more than one Nadel call and no Lewin, but that’s just a matter of personal taste.
It was also interesting to hear the Seattle team completely ignore the brilliance of the Elvis play and focus solely on Johjima beating the throw and Davis being off the bag.
I have no objection to man walking on the moon.
