I sent out a league email, but will go ahead and post this here. Sorry for bumping down key offseason fan posts.
please remember to set your keepers.
no date for a draft yet, but we will definitely have a league!
if you are interested in coming back, email me. plz make sure i know your lonestarball ID and your league name.
if you are not interested in staying in the league, please let me know so i can get a replacement owner.
if i cannot get ahold of you by 1 week before the draft i will probably reassign your team.
please remember to set your keepers.

Different league
Dirk, Rentz, Liamp, sprite, myself, and four others are in a AL only Keeper league run by Troy. This will be year 3 if we keep it together. I’m hoping we do because I like the league.

is it possible to trade for draft picks? Is draft order random or in reverse standings?

right now it's set at random.
last year i originally wanted to do it like this:
FINISH DRAFT POSITION
5th 1st
6th 2nd
7th 3rd
8th 4th
9th 5th
10th 6th
4th 7th
3rd 8th
2nd 9th
1st 10th
but it was just thrown out there. i think it needs to be random though, people would complain about it being unfair. random is completely fair.
if you wanna trade draft picks, both parties would have to come to an agreement and tell me ahead of time. it’s kinda complicated.
example:
team A wants an extra 2nd round draft pick
team B will trade his 2nd round draft pick for team a’s 3rd and 4th round draft pick.
the end trade would end up looking like this:
team a gets team b’s 2nd round draft pick and last round draft pick
team b gets team a’s 3rd and 4th round draft pick
just tell the other team who to draft and trade the picks after the draft. commish would make the swaps immediate (i think i have that power, i do in yahoo)
of course this example is a lot easier with an offline draft, but those are TOO hard to do with people all over the country, and would take weeks to do (days if we are lucky)

I might be interested in some upgrades overall for a top end guy sent to you.
I got my password set up but when I go to the league my team won't show up.
All I get is this message:
Your League Manager has not finished setting up your league.
You can email your League Manager or return later.
But iirc my team has Youklis, Granderson, ARod, Papelbon, Joakim Soria, Nathan, Nelly Cruz, and Mike Young as possible keepers.
I’d be more than willing to trade anyone but ARod and Granderson for better keepers. (Though I do wanna keep at least two closers.)
Youkilis + Papelbon for a stud make sense for anyone?

Thanks for the heads up guys. I’ve been pretty busy with work and a new girlfriend lately, but I can still handle comish duties. I’ll send out some emails asking everyone to confirm that they’re coming back, as well as some info on trades and keepers.
Basically the same rules as last year, trades are free game before the keeper deadline. You’re not allowed to just add new AL players that are on FA now. You are required to use all 5 keeper slots.
This is the year of the texas leaguer bitches.

Scoring question...
Never been a commish so I really don’t know all the options.
But after looking at your league standings I noticed that OPS and QS were both scoring options, am I seeing this correctly? Any other type of options besides the standard surface stats?

draft and keeper date
i have set a draft date and time. if there is a problem lemme know and i can change the date. weekends are best for me, but most don’t like that so i made it a monday.
draft date:
WED MAR 24th 6:45
keeper date was set for 10 days before draft instead of my original plan of 1 week. i did this so i can get a replacement in enough time. and locking keepers let other plan for the draft better. SO FAR ONLY 3 HAVE SET THEIR KEEPERS. you can change your keepers up until the deadline. setting them up lets me know for sure you are interested. please at least do a prelim set up.
