New T.R. Sullivan Mailbag Up

T.R. Sullivan has a new mailbag column up, which includes him being particularly bullish on Julio Borbon, and the requisite really dumb trade proposal, this one involving Tim Lincecum.

Check it out...

Mercy.

That might be the dumbest trade proposal yet.

not horrible T.Rex, I've seen worse..

Rangers staff too deep for Wang, very interesting :)

If the Rangers don't make the play-offs this year I'm gonna go all Epic Bearded Man on your ass.

well

i think it’s bold to flat out say 100 runs scored.

you assume the rangers offense is good, borbon plays everyday and gets on base.

hopefully he at does what goodwin did in 1998. then again goodwin hit .290 with a .378 obp. definitely would be happy with that (though definitely would want a better SB%)

otis nixon crica 1995 would be okay too (.295/.357 50 SB)

FWIW

CHONE is pretty high on him and still has him at 77 runs. Of course, CHONE isn’t really designed to forecast how many runs a player will score, so that’s probably meaningless.

nice question

about the stretch/windup

funny response to the question about OKC affiliation

as far as that trade…if the rangers can pull it off, go for it!

Lincecum, Perez, Holland, Feliz, and Scooter does sounds kinda nice though

I love the mailbag!

I like knowing that I am far from being the most ignorant Ranger fan in the world.

Well...

I feel like a toddler learning to walk and talk compared to most of the veterans here on LSB. I have a basic knowledge of baseball. I pay enough attention to have a little bit of knowledge on most of major league players and the upper echelon of minor league prospects. I know what moves is logical and I understand the basic elements to putting together a solid team. I get most of my enjoyment from visiting LSB to read all the sarcastic comments and arguments. Mainly because in the real world and on other sites like Facebook, I can make comments that are only mildly sarcastic and people get pissed off and pout about it. I am not in the same league in terms of sarcasm or smart-assism as most of veterans on here. But I know enough and I am thick skinned enough to enjoy their satire.

Nothing wrong with that at all.

Would have been better had he actually retired....

Dear TR Sullivan

Why do they make Hulio Borboun wear a glove for a hat? Why can’t he wear a Texas Rangers hat like the rest of the players, and be proud of his team.

Sincerely,

Jacob
