Sullivan: Rangers Discussing Lugo

Sullivan has an article up talking about how the Rangers might look outside the organization to fill the UIF role. Sullivan says that Lugo "may be the most interesting name" as a final decision is made on the UIF player. Greene's departure, according to Sullivan, has left two holes to be filled: right-handed corner infield bat and UIF (apparently, Greene was expected to fill both roles). Other external candidates include Augie Ojeda (Rangers inquired about him last year), Ramon Vazquez (previous ties to the Rangers), and some "extra infielders" from the Dodgers. It seems to me that the only person that the Rangers are actually discussing is Lugo, but Sullivan does not offer any clue as to how serious these discussions are. Matt Brown and Max Ramirez are mentioned as the players who could be used to give Davis a day off now and then.
