Angels announce new play-by-play announcer

ANAHEIM, Calif. (AP)—The Los Angeles Angels have added former MLB Network and Texas Rangers announcer Victor Rojas (ROH’-hahs) to their broadcast games.
The Angels announced Wednesday that Rojas will join Mark Gubicza in the broadcast booth, calling games on FOX Sports West and KCOP.
The 42-year-old Rojas spent five seasons as a member of the Texas Rangers television and radio broadcast teams prior to joining the MLB Network in December 2008.
Rojas also did radio play-by-play and analysis for the Arizona Diamondbacks during the 2003 season.
Rojas is the son of former major league player and manager Cookie Rojas.

I liked victor a lot on the radio and on mlb network...
but man his games with TAG were not good.. no chemistry.
obviously many play by play guys do travel from team to team, i actually think its kind of cool hes on the angels team now because it will be interesting to listen how he talks about hte rangers when we play.

I thought Victor was mediocre
and a downgrade compared to previous Ranger announcers, but he is a huge upgrade over Rex Hudler.

Rojas was solid
My only gripe was he would say things like “Josh Hamiltion is awaiting on deck” No, Josh Hamiltion is WAITING on deck.
But for the most part, I liked hus work here. He and Nadel were SO SO SO SO much better than TAG and Lewin.
Lewin is my kryptonite.
It's gotten appreciably harder over the past several months to hate
everything about the Angels. Good thing Mike Scioscia still manages them.
