What return would it take to make a Hamilton trade worth it?

I personally think that we would need a stud-first baseman or an ace for me to be happy with a trade, but 4th OF would immediately become a need.

FYI, there is a thread on this in the Sunday AM post.

I think Cafardo’s team is one of the only few that could even be considered in a Hamilton trade. Hamilton and Beckett would be the principals.

But, I see no way even that trade would make much sense for the Rangers.

Pro baseball has always been a dream, so this is pretty freakin’ cool out here. -- Tim Steggall, undrafted Rangers minor leaguer.

Hamilton

I know it is somewhat sacrilege, but I wouldn’t mind seeing him traded in the right deal. Of course, you could argue it’d be trading low, but there is really a ~25-30% chance Hamilton keeps going downhill from here.

I got a lot of shit from friends

But, right after his Home Run Derby, I said we should trade him.

I'd trade anyone if the price is right.

And the little bastard threw it for a swinging strike three in a 3-2 count. He’s blessed. And ballsy.

yeah, yeah

If a 15 point sub-thread on trading our most talented player is “discussed ad nauseum,” how would you label our coverage of the CD/Blalock situation last season? :)

It’s that big a deal? Really? Some guys on this site are so sanctimonious it’s absurd.

At this point, there’s more potential value in hanging onto him and praying he stays healthy this year than there is trading him. His value is at a low right now.

Morality you can fake. Fun you either have or you don't.
