Bad news for Dozer, good news for the 40.

I still think he’s got a decent future if he can get better consistency with that sinker and some better luck.

The poor guy’s 2008 was marred by a BABIP of .385. His LOB was 45%. His FIP was 4.93 with an ERA north of 8. xFIP was worse (at 5.03), but still — an ERA over 3 full runs above xFIP?

I think there’s still potential there — hopefully he finds it in KC, although I don’t think his luck is gonna improve there with Yuni backing him up at SS.

Needed the space on the 40...

and Mendoza has really done nothing to earn a spot. I know some here like the guy, but you can’t keep everyone who shows any sign of life with a system that has this much talent.
