Keith Law
hates the Rangers, imo.
"I don't condone steroids or any other type of growth hormones or anything else, but I could care less, and, for the most part, I don't think the fans give a (bleep). The people that care about it are the people that probably don't like baseball," - Jim Leyland

I thought he was some dumbass
That nobody has ever heard of?

And the little bastard threw it for a swinging strike three in a 3-2 count. He’s blessed. And ballsy.
I hate insider articles.
I love Keith’s insight, but I’m not paying ESPN money for a shitty magazine subscription and a few amount of articles from decent writers.
That said, yay! Keith motherfucking Law thinks the Rangers will win the west.

hate ESPN, respect Law.

I couldn't take finally getting back to the playoffs ending with another first round loss to the Yankees.
It would take months to remember how bright the future is after that.
Naw
it wouldn’t. We’re not going to lose. Yankee ass will be smeared all over Arlington. Elvis Andrus will overawe Jeter so much that he’ll leave his jump-throw dazzle shit at home. The entire lineup is going to need Viagra to even think about facing Feliz. And then they’ll remember that we also have Holland, Scheppers and Ogando and there will be a mad dash for the shitter.
Feliz will not have a uniform number. His jersey will just say “Sit down” on the front and back.

A week of watching Jeter and Andrus both play in the same games on national TV would be hilarious.
Think it would be clear enough that casual fans who still think he deserved his Gold Glove would doubt themselves a little?
And rec'd.

If you were to tell me right now...
that the Rangers would win the West, but lose in the first round to the Yankees I’d take it.

I think I would actually take several years or so of dominating the division and getting squashed in the playoffs, a la the Angels
Over a one and done World Series run.
Even if it meant we never won the world series, I’d still take 6-7 years of quality baseball over 1 year of fleeting glory.

Disagree with you there...
give me the WS win.
I want the Rangers to reach that zenith just once in my lifetime and my baseball soul will die fulfilled.

I don't
Multiple division titles in a decade mean that you run your organization right, and it payed off. The playoffs are a crapshoot. It’s usually the team that goes in the hottest wins. A WS is great and all, but I’d take sheer dominance over a division and maybe a few ALDS titles and 1 ALCS over a WS victory and back to mediocrity.

This is approaching with far more logic than I can.
I pride myself on trying to be a logical baseball fan, but all the logic in the world can’t control my emotions towards the Rangers.
I'll easily take a one-and-done WS season over repeated division titles but no championship.
But, I would take the 90s Braves run over 2 or 3 titles and a bunch of poor seasons outside of that.
A lot of the ESPN people pick the Rangers..
sadly most pick the Angels including Dick Durrett.

Now performing in the Mark Holtz room, Elvis sings you ain't nothing but a groundball.
Since ESPN people are always wrong, I'm not sure how to feel about this.
If its good that they’re wrong about the Angels, or bad that the Mariners are apparently going to win.
