Rangers Mock Draft (pt. 2)
I am representing the Texas Rangers in a 3-round mock draft that will be held over at John Sickels' Minor League Ball blog on June 5th. There is an organization diary set up there but I wanted to post this here as well so that anyone interested in making suggestions or discussing possible Ranger selections can comment.
I have attached another poll, this time listing four college pitchers that have a reasonable chance of being available for the Rangers at No. 15, their first selection. The poll for college hitters is here -- a poll for high school pitchers and hitters will follow.

Harvey, Solis, Ranaudo too expensive for 15
Wimmers is the only realistic option among the ones you present here. I think I might have mentioned Solis in your MOD post, but I forgot he’s a draft-eligible sophomore looking for a nice payday. Brandon Workman would be a better fit than any of them, I think. Although I wouldn’t be that upset with Wimmers being the pick. Or one of the Eibner/Petricka/Hahn trio.
I like Harvey,
very Rick Helling-esqe. Good stuff, if not completely polished -leaving room for performance projection, bulldog mentality -pitches unafraid, steps up in big games, has experienced hard times -made adjustments and emerged successful. Solid upside, likely to see it.
