Interleague Schedule favors the Rangers
"In the AL West, the Rangers' schedule was designed by, I don't know, Jim Sundberg or someone. They get a silly nine games against the Pirates and Astros, and they miss the Cardinals. The rest of the division combined plays nine against the Cards and three against the other two. That is a huge swing in a division that may see all four teams separated by less than eight games. The interleague schedule is going to give the Rangers an edge that they really shouldn't have in a well-designed league."
Hadn't really considered this -- and I'm bummed because I was really hoping the Cardinals would come to town this year -- but Sheehan is right, this could add three or four games to the Rangers margin in the AL West this year. Not that I think the M's will be within 8 games of the Rangers by the end of July, of course.

Throw the records out the window when you're fighting for the Silver Boot.
It’s a boot, and it’s silver.
THEY ALL COME OUT WITH FIRE AND INTENSITY WHEN THEY PLAY FOR THE SILVER BOOT, 3hacks!!
NOTHING BUT WARRIORS OUT THERE!

Yes, the interleague schedules are ridiculous
Interleague began in 1997 and STL vs TEX has happened in one season. Cardinals came here for 3 games in 2004.
Meanwhile, this will be the 4th time they’ve played the Pirates. Yes, it helps the Rangers, but the (alleged) purpose of interleague play was to let fans in certain cities see players/teams they don’t get to see very often.
Of course, MLB can’t even make sure there are 15 games scheduled every Memorial Day, July 4th, and Labor Day. All 30 teams should be in action on those days, and they should all play afternoon games. The fact that 4 AL teams (including the Rangers) are off on Memorial Day pisses me off.
wow, didnt realize that last part
thats pretty much terrible. You would think with the amount of money that could be made they’d pay more attention to it.
Feliz says his greatest thrill was striking out Boston Red Sox DH David Ortiz, one of his heroes. Yet, when he called to tell his parents, his mother had a request: Strike out New York Yankees third baseman Alex Rodriguez, too.
"So when I did that," Feliz says, "I told my mom, 'There you go. There's your present. Don't ask me to strike anyone else out, OK?'
Agree on having every team play on those days
stupid for MLB not to, but the afternoon part of it is not necessarily the best idea.
even better
They don’t play the Reds either. They play the Marlins and 4 teams that have 4 of the 5 worst records in the NL including the Astros twice who are the worst.

something needs to be done about the schedule
It’s stupid to have teams in the same division playing different schedules. The great thing about interleague is playing teams lik StL. Who wants to see The Pirates? If we don’t play the marquee teams what’s the point? There’s enough shit teams in the AL without playing the NL trash.
