Miguel de los Santos
I remember last year, this guy struck out something like 70 hitters in 30 innings in the DSL. Now I see he's at Hickory, has pitched 2 innings, has struck out 6. But there seems to be a dearth of info on the guy despite numbers that positively beg for more publicity. Is there anyone who can shed some light on this guy? And now I need eleven more words to make this an official FanPost. Bingo.

Long story. Didn’t do anything wrong––had more to do with MLB than it did him. He started in extended because he didn’t arrive in Arizona until the last week of camp.
I did a long scouting report on Miguel about a month ago, but it’s a subscription piece: http://rangers.scout.com/2/966481.html

Beavan is also doing his thing
4 innings, 3 hits, 0 walks, 0 ER, 3 Ks.
What is this, Horseville? Because I'm surrounded by naysayers.
Here come the Ks, Little Darlin', here come the Ks

I'm at the frisco game...
C-Wun looks gooood. Also there is a kid behind me who said he was getting free stuff because of “stupid marcus lemon” and one of his friends said “it was only cause you cried” to him… Not really sure of the back story, but Marcus lemon makes kid cries. I have no idea dirkatron was involved.
my better is better than your better.

He do what he do.
And he do it well.

Damn...
does he get the call up to OKC this year?
He has been lights out so far.

And all it took
Was for me to start hatin’ on him during the last CPP’s.
You know what? I think Martin Perez sucks.
"I think it's funny because everybody wants Ozzie Smith range," Young said. "I want people to show me a guy that has turbo range like that."
If all it took...
was you hatin’ on players to make them produce then the Rangers would have 10 all-stars and be 47-0 right now.

Gotta think he's the clear-cut favorite to get the first call out of the Frisco starters

Harrison...
threw a couple innings of relief today after C-Wun.
Gave up a run, but no walks and 4 K’s.

He will be activated Friday, I've read
So that should be his last appearance.
"I support you, Wash; I’ve always supported you," Young said

I just don't see how successful Harrison can be from the 'pen
a lot of his problems happen when he gets men on base and he loses his quirky rhythm while in the stretch
A baseball game is simply a nervous breakdown divided into nine innings.
yep
I haven’t looked at the splits but it seems like he’s pretty dominant with nobody no base, but goes to pieces from the stretch. That should be something that’s straightened out in the minors, but they do what they do.

This is my concern as well, hopefully he will do well in that role though.
"The only good is knowledge and the only evil is ignorance."-Socrates
I think the hope is...
…that he gets a couple of ticks in velocity and that puts him over the hump in terms of being more effective.

Font is dominating this start
through 6 IP he had 6Ks 1 BB and no runs allowed.
Feliz says his greatest thrill was striking out Boston Red Sox DH David Ortiz, one of his heroes. Yet, when he called to tell his parents, his mother had a request: Strike out New York Yankees third baseman Alex Rodriguez, too.
"So when I did that," Feliz says, "I told my mom, 'There you go. There's your present. Don't ask me to strike anyone else out, OK?'
Font
Looking forward to hearing Lucas/JP/JP thoughts on what he was doing right tonight. Or even goyo.

Can't really speak to it
but I’ll be in Bakersfield for his next start, so I’ll have a lot to say after that.
Must have been throwing strikes tonight though. Previous career high was 5.2 IP, then he goes seven tonight.
Not me
I was out and caught only the last inning of the radio feed. All I can say is he was on. Font was/is/will be very inconsistent. When he spots his FB and has a feel for his change in the same evening, Lord help you. At other times, he literally struggles to get the ball near the plate on every single pitch. Still highly unrefined. Also 20 years and 3 days old.

Just amazing that he's barely 20
And to give up 0 runs in the Cal League moonscape, awesome.

the pxp guy
on the away feed wasn’t all that interested in describing in too much helpful detail just how dominant Font was. Bak does have their own pxp guy on the weekends this season so that would be the time to listen.
He do what he do
Love to see a few more Ks, but no walks is always good.

Wieland and Beavan should have a death match where they see who can induce the most grounders and walk the fewest batters

Robbie Ross might climb in over the cage and get involved in that one.

I would not mind seeing
Beavan, Main, and Wieland all shuffled up to the next level in the coming weeks. They are all over 100 innings at their current level and ready for the next challenge, I’d think.

Look who's finally putting it together...
He hasn’t posted a K:BB ratio like this since A ball.

Yeah. I noticed that. I had hoped to see him when OKC was in town, but had to skip for in-law duties.

That's nice
he is 27, so if he’s ever going to do anything he needs to get after it. I’m still skeptical, his BaBIP is just .234.

It’s too bad the Rangers let him go. They could use another candidate in AAA for a 7th-8th inning relief role.

But I got to see it all right behind the plate. Swinging strikes all over the damn place. Only guy who got decent wood on a single ball ripped it WAY foul. I came.
